KrisAnne Hall Settles First Amendment Case | July 9th, 2011

KrisAnne Hall is a former prosecutor and Constitutional attorney who was fired from her job for teaching the Constitution to citizen groups. She is a disabled veteran of the US Army, a Russian linguist, a mother, a pastor’s wife and a patriot. Her former employer, State’s Attorney for Florida’s 3rd Judicial Circuit, gave her a choice – give up her first amendment right to speak on her own time or be fired. KrisAnne said “my first amendment rights are worth more than a paycheck and I will not surrender them.” She now travels the country and teaches the Constitution and the history that gave us our founding documents.

Brandon Smith: The Essential Rules Of Liberty | July 6th, 2011

This is the question of a slave, not a free man. A free man asks, “What am I going to do about this predicament? What is MY solution to the problem?” Therein is the key to liberty; decentralized leadership and movements based on fluidity and spontaneity of action, instead of a great mass of people standing around stiffly waiting for orders on high, or a self styled messiah to engineer their world view. As soon as you place your very initiative under the control of others, you have lost the fight. Always consider the solid strategies of intelligent people, and adopt them if they are useful, but do not remain idle because you are too frightened to exert the effort to solve problems bigger than yourself. Spectators only witness history, they do not make history. – Brandon Smith

“Lamestream” TIME calls Constitution “Elastic” | July 6th, 2011

I guess we should all ignore the Federalist Papers, and all the other journals and writings of the Framers. We should ignore the warnings of Patrick Henry in his fiery “Give me Liberty or Give me Death” speech, or Thomas Paine’s Common Sense booklet or the biography of John Adams which quotes many of his beliefs in letters he wrote to his wife Abigail. Perhaps when we all walk through the Jefferson Memorial, we should ignore the quotes on the walls about freedom and Jefferson’s passion for American idealism. We can’t know what the Framers intended when they wrote the Bill of Rights and what on earth they could have meant when they proclaimed, “Congress shall make no law…” – Sheriff Mack

Oath Keepers Proves That There WERE Troops Who Refused to Confiscate Guns During Katrina | July 6th, 2011

We know that wholesale gun confiscation happened during Hurricane Katrina. We watched the Chief of Police of New Orleans declare on national television that “no one [no private citizen] will be able to be armed, we’re going to take all the weapons.” We watched an old lady being tackled in her own kitchen and disarmed.

In fact, that atrocious event was one of the reasons I started Oath Keepers. But I also knew, from my service as an Army paratrooper, that there are men and women of courage, honor, and integrity in the military who would refuse to obey such orders. My goal with Oath Keepers is simply to increase their numbers and harden their resolve. But when it came to Katrina, we did not have concrete proof that some said no – until now.

Grant County, Oregon: The Solution To Tyranny | July 5th, 2011

Sheriff Glenn Palmer, actually believes it’s his job to keep his Oath of Office! He actually believes that protecting the people from the enforcement of stupid laws and out of control government officials is his responsibility. So much so that he has put himself on the line, subjected himself to the scrutiny and ridicule of the mainstream establishment, as he courageously stands against the U S Forest Service! Yes, Grant County, OR, a small county of not even 7,000 people and 5,000 square miles, has set the example for the entire country as to how we restore freedom in America! A Sheriff doing his job, keeping his oath, and with the support of the people, standing together for liberty. – Former Arizona Sheriff Richard Mack
