Support Pledge Drive For Oath Keeper Brian Miller

Brian Miller
Pledge to Support Brian Miller
[from friends and supporters of Brian Miller, in Pima County, Arizona[
On May 30, in the wake of the violent SWAT raid which claimed the young life of Jose Guerena in front of his family, our Pima County GOP Chairman, Brian Miller, publically asked for renewed discussions of both SWAT policy and the civil liberties codified in our Bill of Rights.
In an effort to placate the local police unions, the local big government Republican power structure has launched an aggressive smear campaign to muzzle Brian Miller.
In the month after Chairman Miller had the audacity to advocate the very conservative principle of citizen oversight of government, the Pima County Republican Party Executive Committee has devolved into a mob mentality. They’ve now taken his keys to the building, actually changed the locks on the doors and have set a special meeting to fabricate new rules to kick him out of office!
This special meeting will happen before the end of July!
These people are bullies and the only way you deal with a bully is to stand up and show them you won’t be bullied. You neutralize them.
Will you courageously stand with Brian Miller who consistently advocates limited, constitutional government and individual rights?
These party-first lemmings have been hard at work trying to cripple Brian’s effective fund raising. They have had some success. They wish to use the drop in funding to complete the lynching at the upcoming special meeting. The solution to this is simple: we the people must fill in the gap.
WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR DONATIONS!
We are looking for something even more powerful in this case: your pledge of support.
Nowhere does money talk louder than in politics. Brian Miller needs to walk into that special meeting with pledges worth tens of thousands of dollars.
If he survives the special election, we retain a liberty-loving patriot at the helm of our local party and we all make good on our pledges.
If the big government apologists have their way and kick him out, we donate not one red cent!
Most of us can’t pledge $10,000 or $20,000, but we can pledge $10, $20, $100 or hopefully more. And if enough of us step up and support our freedom loving chairman, we arrest the power of these bullies.
So, it’s this simple. Please pledge to support the dynamic young leader of the Pima GOP. Remember, we’ll only ask you to make good on your pledge should Brian Miller retain his position as Pima GOP Chairman. If, on the other hand, the executive committee continues down their destructive path and Brian Miller is removed from his duly elected position, we need to show them the amount of money and support they have lost.
But you must act now. The special meeting to change the by-laws is Friday, July 15th. We must have all of the pledges by that time. Please tell every Liberty lover you know that we need your help.
Make your pledge now. Will it be $10? $20? $100? More?
Please stand with us now as we make sure Brian knows he’s not alone. Support Brian Miller and his courageous stand for liberty and justice for all!

Note from Stewart and Elias – Brian Miller is a current serving military member in good standing of Oath Keepers (a combat veteran pilot, he is now still serving in the reserves). In March of 2010 Brian Miller was embraced by the Republican Party as the candidate most likely to defeat Democrat Gabrielle Giffords. Below is a glowing article printed at a time when many Republican leaders were feeling the need to embrace the Tea Party movement. That was of course an odd arrangement in which the Tea Party eyed the already-existing infrastructure of the Republican Party and intended to elect Tea Party constitutionalist candidates under the umbrella of the big “R”. But the Republican Party countered that strategy by co-opting the Tea Party movement – or much of it. Notice how warmly the Republican Party embraced this young Air Force A-10 pilot last year –

Brian Miller is an outstanding candidate running for the House of Representatives from Arizona’s 8th District. He is a strict fiscal conservative, a strong believer in individual liberty and an activist for limited government. He is doing well in a crowded primary and if he wins he will face Democrat incumbent Gabrielle Giffords in the general election... [recall, this was written before the Tucson shooting this past winter which wounded Gabrielle Giffords.] Miller has Democrats running scared and they are targeting him because of his support of the Tea Party movement, opposition to Obamacare and stand against bailouts. He’s a true Liberty Republican who believes in limited government, free enterprise and individual liberty. [emphasis added]
Yes, the GOP loved Brian Miller back in March of 2010, and the GOP was eager to embrace the Tea Party energy, eager enough to parrot Tea Party foundational planks such as “limited government, free enterprise and individual liberty” as well as fiscal responsibility. So the GOP was talking it up big time during the campaign season, hopeful of attracting the passionate Tea Party candidates and even some of those pesky Ron Paul Republicans (after realizing they needed them all to win elections). ‘ Brian Miller ended up as a libertarian type, very strict constitutionalist Tea Party Republican sitting at the helm of the Pima County, Arizona, GOP as Chairman of the Central Committee.
What we now see is that the GOP was full of it.
As soon as Brian Miller stood on the very principles which had endeared him to the GOP in last year’s campaigns – limited government and individual liberty under the Constitution, the GOP reacted with horror. It had to do with his stance on the SWAT killing of Jose Guerena just outside Tucson on May 05, 2011, and his speaking engagement at the Oath Keepers muster at Tucson on Memorial Day, May 30, 2011. Here is Brian Miller’s eleven minute speech for Oath Keepers at The Hotel Arizona in Tucson that afternoon.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gShmAPyIWBA&feature=player_embedded
Brian Miller also made a few other statements as the drama unfolded and Sheriff Dupnik’s Pima County Sheriff’s Department bungled not only the SWAT raid on Guerena’s home, killing the young Marine veteran dead, but also bungled the press releases by making false statements to the press, stating that Guerena had fired first at the officers. That was shown to be false four days after the shooting, and the Sheriff’s Department had to admit that Guerena never fired his rifle at the officers while they fired 71 bullets at him, and in fact he died with his safety still on (which is a strong indicator that he was trying to identify who was kicking in his door, and had not yet decided to fire). All heck broke loose around Pima County and Tucson, as well as across the country, with many veterans and gun owners expressing their anger at how SWAT was used, because they understood that the same thing would very likely happen to them if SWAT was sent to their house and they were not given time to identify the unknown gunmen coming through their front door. Any trained gun owner or veteran, or retired police officer would likely react the same way that Guerena did if unknown men kicked in their door. Brian Miller, being a patriot and a Constitutionalist as well as the Chair of the GOP Central Committee at Pima County, joined Oath Keepers for the muster and ceremony to lament the policy of using SWAT to serve warrants on citizens who have no criminal conviction record. Brian Miller called for a review of that policy, which is inconsistent with our right to bear arms and our right to be secure in our homes from unreasonable searches.
But oh my goodness! The Police Union had a hissy fit! How dare this man, a mere combat veteran Air Force A-10 pilot with no police experience, question policy in law enforcement by supporting the stand that Oath Keepers police officers have taken against this misuse of SWAT? The Police Union contacted the GOP leadership and demanded that Brian Miller be brought under control. Why? Simply for daring to criticize the actions of Sheriff Dupnik’s department.
And it is now obvious that the GOP in Pima County, Arizona is more interested in a bloc of Police votes and donations than they are in justice, equality under the law, and defending the U.S. Constitution (in particular, the Second Amendment and the Fourth Amendment). In other words, they are “Republicans In Name Only” (RINOs) and they have a penchant for neo-con hard-headedness and selling out their proclaimed principles (which they proclaim only in campaign speeches) for political favors. The GOP betrayed the Tea Party movement once the GOP thought they had the Tea Party safely tucked into the good ol’ boys network of political intrigue and once they thought they had Tea Party people “tricked into just voting Republican. Well, there is still a very obvious battle going on within the GOP, especially at the local level, between REAL conservatives and constitutionalists within the Tea Party movement and the old guard RINOs who are only interested in political power, not principles.
In Pima County, that lack of concern for principles has lead the GOP RINOs to demand Brian Miller’s resignation. He refused. We can help him and the other constitutionalists in the Pima GOP to stand for liberty.
Oath Keepers does not issue endorsements for political candidates. Oath Keepers remains non-partisan in the tradition of our peace officer and military community. And Oath Keepers distrusts both major political parties equally. But this issue is about something much bigger than political campaigns. While urging all Oath Keepers and friends and supporters to consider helping with this project for liberty in Pima County, Arizona, we note that this pledge drive is not to elect Brian Miller, but to preserve his seat as Chair of the Central Committee of the Pima County GOP and to prevent him being ousted simply for standing in defense of the Constitution, as his oath requires.
Brian already won the seat – Oath Keepers would like to see this fine example of an Oath Keeper keep that seat, in the name of justice and Constitutional principles. Brian’s victory over this challenge will fortify support also for the petition/letter which Oath Keepers will present to the Attorney General of Arizona requesting a review of the policy which would send a SWAT team to serve a simple search warrant.

Even if it’s only ten bucks, please go to that link and make your pledge; and remember, if Brian cannot retain his Chairmanship of that Committee, you‘ll not need to send in your pledged donation. If he is ousted, not one penny will go to the sell-out RINOs. But if he does retain his Chairmanship, your pledge will have helped turn things around for the better in at least one County – and remember, the Oath Keepers way is to build freedom at the County level all across America, one County at a time, restoring our Republic from the bottom up. Let’s take a stand in Pima County in support of a stand-up Oath Keeper.

PS- I will be personally pledging $200.00 out of my own pocket, as a private individual. – Stewart
Please donate and support Oath Keepers mission, every little bit helps!

Obviously, the GOPers on the spot won’t agree with you. They also had concerns other than Miller’s questioning of the PCSDs tactics in the Guerena case. There was a clear statement that Miller had violated his fiduciary responsibilities to the local organization. Neither Miller nor Oath Keepers has addressed these allegations. It seems that a somewhat blind commitment is being made here just because the guy is a member of the organization. Personally, I would be VERY reluctant to answer your call for “support” until this is cleared up. Why send money to a guy who may not handle it in a responsible manner? The other issue I want to address is this: One of the salient points made in this post is that Oath Keepers does not trust either major political party, but then you ask for “support” in the form of contributions to Brian Miller, who will then offer the pledges to the Pima County GOP in the hope of impressing them with his fund-raising abilities, and thereby influence them to keep him in the position of chairman. What happens if they go along, and then change their minds after they get their hands on the money?
Not that I think this scheme has a snowballs chance in hell anyway … those people have made up their minds.
Oath Keepers appears to be getting further and further from its original purpose and stepping off onto some very slippery slopes lately, and I’ll be very surprised if this comment stays up very long.

Frank, you wrote this within your post:
“They also had concerns other than Miller’s questioning of the PCSDs tactics in the Guerena case. There was a clear statement that Miller had violated his fiduciary responsibilities to the local organization. Neither Miller nor Oath Keepers has addressed these allegations.”
You give no links to substantiate your allegations and gave no indication of WHAT Miller is supposed to have done. I did not see, hear or read of any on or within the post from “Oath Keepers”.
Please clarify your accusations.

If we watch the Republican Party during this campaign you will notice that people like Brian who took a stand will be isolated then destroyed. I saw this happen in Oregon with several conservative leaders who were isolated and some cases financially destoryed. This is a very effective tactic used by the Communist Party to eliminate their competition in the former Soviet Union. In China, they simply shoot the dissidents.

Thank you for sending us this info. This kind of thing is being done in Arkansas by the Republican elitists. They have tried successfully to squeeze patriots out of leadership roles in local committees, even shutting down local committees. We need patriots like Brian to change the Republican party back to its founding principles and the constitutional ideals of our Founding Fathers. Yeah for Brian!

Not only do I have a problem with a Sheriff’s Dept using a SWAT team to serve a warrant, and especially if they have no prior conviction record, but search warrants are not supposed to be served by kicking down doors as you announce yourself (especially a VERY dubious one as this). But why the search warrant – NOBODY is asking that question – what was their legal basis for getting the warrant, what facts did they have (or lack thereof) that would give a judge the right to even issue a search warrant. No where is it mentioned that on a whim, it seems, they decided to search this poor Marine’s house – and then when they got what I believe is their illegally issued search warrant – they decide to use deadly force to present it. Something is missing here?? What is wrong with the County of Pima that heads are NOT rolling – and murder indictments are not being issued – nobody, the Sheriff or the SWAT team is above the law – in America they do not have the right to murder people and then stand behind a dubious search warrant. The judge needs to face charges for the issuance – when SWAT is used – this is not like some minor act by the court – and the laws of errs and omissions does not cover criminal behavior. This is being ignored, and EVEN after the sad murder, the powers that be in Pima County are going after the people that have stood up to the criminals and they are not going after the criminals (the Sheriff, Judge and SWAT team). Just doing our job our duty did not work for Lt Calley and should not work for them – Lt Calley was screwed in a war zone; there is no war in Pima but those that commit atrocities sure get away with murder. There is some serious graft in Pima, and the RINO Country Club Republicans there are in bed with the far leftist Pima County Sheriff.
I wish I could help the Pima County Republican Chair as his Executive Committee gives him the shaft for standing up to murderers – may God punish their despicable butts – but I am fighting to even keep a roof over my head right now, but he does have my prayers. Happy will be the day when the rule of law returns to America!

It was my pleasure to pledge a donation for the support of Brian Miller. This is not about political parties any longer. The Dems and GOP are both in disrepair.
Thanks for the heads up Steward and Elias.
