Something serious is going on here. America’s economic recovery may be much weaker than advertised, while her economic vulnerability may be much greater than widely believed.

The number of Republicans who said that a third political party was necessary was at an all-time high since Gallup first began tracking opinion on the issue in 2003. And while support for a third party has crept steadily upward in the GOP, for the first time, it represents a majority opinion.

But this morning, on May 10, 1775, all was quiet at the fort. The soft morning sunlight had bathed it in the same soft pink as the lake below. The lone sentry on duty was asleep. The officers were asleep. In fact, nearly everyone was still dozing before the start of the day.

Coxe is little-known today, but his essays were among the most influential with the general public, if not the most influential, of all the pro-Constitution writers. His writings were not as extensive as, say, Hamilton, Madison & Jay’s Federalist, but they were much easier to read and may have been more widely distributed. The oath I took was from my heart. I love my country when I repeated the oath for the first time and I still do. When I mustered out, I did not resend my oath. Short of reading Thomas E. Woods’ remarkable book, “Nullification”, the two resolutions linked above and the following address written by John C. Calhoun in 1831 comprise a condensed approach to understanding the intent of the Founders in drafting the Constitution for the united States of America. The two major approaches to interpreting the Constitution are, 1) the sovereign citizen approach, and 2) the national citizen approach. The first approach respects the rights of the individual citizen and also the rights of the sovereign States which formed the compact. The second approach would permit the national/general government an unwarranted authority over the States and the citizens of the several States. To see clearly the intent of the Founders, the Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions of 1798 and this essay by John C. Calhoun are necessary/required reading. Oath Keepers encourages all readers here to grant oneself the time to read these documents and absorb the remarkable lessons embodied in the language. Always remember – happy Oath Keepers are Oath Keepers who read!

Oath Keepers is a single-mission organization with a dual focus. Oath Keepers interacts with the Oath-Sworn, the Americans who fill the ranks of America’s military, firefighter, and Peace Officer personnel. We also are now focusing in our veterans communities. We educate men and women who swear that Oath, challenging them to learn the fine points of our Constitution and its history.

Oath Keepers members and readers are generally aware of the juggernaut assault on our national Bill of Rights and the Constitution itself as a whole. Further, our readership is aware of the powerful message in the Tenth Amendment Center’s presentation, which shows the power of the States to resist Federal incursion into their rightful spheres of sovereignty.

The Tenth Amendment now must come into play to protect the Fourth Amendment.
