America is under assault. Most of us have watched this assault for years, and thought that elections were enough to beat back the rising tide of statist authoritarianism. Then Hurricane Katrina happened in 2005. We were wrong!
Sheriff Richard Mack is a former Sheriff from Graham County, AZ. and a long time crusader for freedom and individual rights. He is the author of several books, The Victory for State Sovereignty; Country Sheriff, America’s last hope, The Naked Spy and From my Cold Dead Fingers.
That battle showed that men fighting for their freedom were more than a match for mercenaries fighting only for money – and making it a surprise attack at dawn the day after Christmas rather than a formal set-piece battle certainly helped too.
But chief among the reasons I enjoy Christmas so much is that it is a time of relative peace, when people the world over stop to remember the birth of “the Prince of Peace” and what He actually stood for – Peace on earth, and goodwill towards men.
I put on my uniform with my state patch on, the pine tree emblazoned by the sun, it means something to me. Its not just a piece of cloth, it has meaning as long as I remember the oath I took on September 30th, 2009.
I am an American Soldier. I am a Warrior and a member of a team. I serve the people of the United States and live the Army Values. I will always place the mission first. I will never accept defeat. I will never quit. I will never leave a fallen comrade.
To honor and celebrate both the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party and also the Anniversary of the Bill of Rights, I traveled to Boston this last weekend and joined other patriots in historic Faneuil Hall for the 2010 Boston Tea Party. It was a very humbling experience to speak in the same hall that had once echoed with the thundering voices of great patriots
This statewide conference of Montana liberty leaders and groups will serve as the template for doing the same thing in the rest of the states, and for that reason, this is an important meeting. A free people should be governed by the rule of law, not by the whims of men. I took the Oath 44-years ago as a college student when I volunteered for military service in Vietnam. It is a sacred Oath. It is a lifetime Oath.
Finally a group of Americans who believe in this great country, set aside differences to stand and protect the American way of life. We shall stand guard to protect the great country we call home and keep a safe country for the future of the American people.
Every Vet who served overseas, knows the feeling of returning home with several thousand other vets on a troop carrier. They know the feelings that overcome you as you pass by the Statue of Liberty, entering Brooklyn Army Terminal to disembark.
