Announcing New Membership options for Oath Keepers

oath_patchWe have added two new membership categories in Oath Keepers. We still offer yearly membership, but you can now also become a Lifetime or Sustaining Liberty Tree member. Our California Vice President, Russell Appling, has stepped up to become our first Lifetime Member, but there is still plenty room for others to jump in. We all do what we can. If all you can afford is a yearly membership, with dues of $30.00, then we are honored to have you among us as a valued member of our team as we continue our mission to awaken all of our brothers and sisters, current serving and veterans, as to their obligations to fulfill their oaths. We know times are tough, and we know that rich or poor, your time and personal commitment to keep your oath are what will matter most in saving this nation. Those who have more financial resources are invited to become sustaining or lifetime members to help keep this organization on a sound financial footing so we can best fulfill our mission and fight the good fight, each of us pledging our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.

We are about to take Oath Keepers to a whole new level, with a renewed focus on the obligations of oath sworn veterans as well as continuing our mission of outreach to the current serving. Regardless of what kind of membership you choose, of even if you don’t become an official member, I am confident that you will like what we have planned for the future and I invite you to participate. Stay tuned for more information in upcoming emails.

For the Republic!

Stewart Rhodes,
Oath Keepers Founder and National President

    Paul Revere Says:

Animals are genetically predisposed to support the covey, pod, school, herd, pride, pack or flock, they have chosen, and been accepted into, because it is a matter of gene as well as personal survival. Members are more likely to have progeny, and the progeny are more likely to survive to project their genes into the future. It’s the natural order.
Consequently, humans have evolved a brain chemistry mechanism that rewards the denigration of clans or tribes not theirs in general and the members of such tribes in particular, even when the denigration is not justified by the facts. The reward phenomenon also occurs when humans praise their tribe and it’s members, regardless of the facts. Some call it emote control. I call it the tribal imperative. You want to do good, be good or belong to you tribe to get the equivalent of a hit of cocaine. The more exclusive the membership, the more intense the dedication.
Humans are now divided into many tribes, and are concurrent members of multiple tribes like fraternities, sororities, religions, gangs, unions, political organizations, cities, counties, states and nations. The tribal imperative is easily manipulated by Machiavellians seeking power. The result is often disastrous for the members of the tribe.
Although some humans have evolved beyond the need for tribe, most remain in its grip despite the fact tribes are now counter-productive. Until evolution eliminates the tribal imperative, humans can be informed of it, so they will avoid tribes, and can be alerted when they are behaving tribal. Providing a voluntary means of eliminating the country and religion power centers so attractive to Machiavellians should be the primary purpose of Oath Keepers, because their competition and cooperation restricts human action the most and has caused and continues to cause the most mayhem
When ‘Oath Keepers’ finally discard their implanted UCMJ and abide by The Constitution for the united States of America, offer to it’s membership Constitution[al] remedies for disputes, and forbid personal prejudice of Board members when considering the banning of Oath Keeper members, the disguised Machiavellian will flee what should be an organization for freedom.

My Husband, Carl Duda joined your organization last year. He fought in Desert Storm, Somalia, OEF, and OIF. He was so excited, bought his own business cards which also promoted your organization. He was seriously wounded in Iraq and is currently a patient at Walter Reed. He wrote to you several times because he cannot figure out how to access the site to sign in. He has severe damage to his brain and does the best he can. No one from your site EVER even had the courtesy to as least show him where to go to sign in. You should be ashamed, he has given his all for his country and is the epitome of an “Oathkeeper”. He asked for help and you abandoned him.

His contact information, if you care to have it is as follows:

    SGT Carl Duda, US Army
    Walter Reed Army Medical Center
    Abrams Hall, Box 4225
    6900 Georgia Ave., NW
    Washington, D.C. 20307

    Darla,
Thank you for letting me know about your husband. I deeply regret that I did not get any communication from Carl. Had I known of his situation I would have personally had our technical guy get Carl into the forums. You are right – he has given much for his country, and I trust that his country will never cease to return the honor by seeing that he gets the best care possible.

Please understand that our twelve Board members get many hundreds of emails daily, in addition to long hours of administrative work for this organization. We are all veterans, retired cops, and retired military, and we know well the honor in our brotherhood. If any one of us had known about your husband’s problems with our new site, we would have had him in there on a red carpet immediately. It is just not possible for twelve of us to catch all the important messages which cross our desks each day. I regret that, and am asking you to convey my apologies for our finite limitations as they affected his difficulty in getting into the new site.

Concerning Carl’s difficulty in signing into the forums, I am going to copy your message from here and take it directly to the Board of Directors and to Stewart Rhodes as well. I think we can come up with a fitting presentment of our appreciation for your husband’s loyalty. Please email me at this address so I can give you my phone number.

    publisher@theoathkeepernews.com

I would like to speak to you directly please. May God bless you and Carl, and erase your pain in the great sacrifice you each now must bear. Your husband has brothers and sisters in Oath Keepers. Please write to me. I will give you my phone number, so we can talk.

    Salute!
Elias (USMC, Viet Nam, ‘66, ‘67)

    Lawrence T. Field Says:

    Sir,
November 8, 2010 I sent “Oathkeepers” $30.00 membership fee and an additional $20.00 that I thought could help out, what I thought was, an upstanding organization that I wanted to be a part of. Two months later I’ve received not even as much as a thank you, let alone the documentation that I was promised. And this is after four emails asking why. My payments are documented by PayPal and what really upsets me is that I’ve been unemployed for 18 months with very limited income, but I wanted to help and become part of something that I felt was unique and special. Still nothing 2 months later.
How sad is it that Rhodes travels the country spouting the necessity of Oathkeepers and the good they’ll do for Americans when it won’t even respond to one very dedicated American who’s tried to help, what I thought, is a reputable organization. Boy, do I feel like a dope two months later.
