Testimonial: Retired Marine Corps Mustang Officer

USMCRetirement11984I am retired Marine Corps Mustang Officer and honorably served my country for twenty years, like many before me, during the period of January 15, 1964 to January 31, 1984.

Although I am a registered democrat I have to admit that in the past nineteen months this President, his Administration and allies, with the help of the Main Stream Media, have been systematically eroding our Constitutional rights, as evidenced by their deplorable actions that are clearly outlined on my blog post site, which I adamantly believe will ultimately destroy this great country as we know it.

I also believe that if they are allowed to continue without restraint their actions will more than likely cause civil unrest and/or an uprising, which may be their ultimate goal because it would allow this President to declare “Marshal Law” as a means of completely doing away with our “Constitutional Rights” and ultimately take over as our country’s life-long dictator.

Note: What follows is my military/civilian background and/or work history/experience:

Military:

Following enlistment was designated as a Private (E-l) and promoted up the enlisted ranks to the rank/grade of Gunnery Sergeant (E-7). After 12 years of active service applied for and was commissioned as a Warrant Officer (W-1) and subsequently promoted up the officer ranks to the rank/grade of Captain (0-3E). Military Occupational Specialties included: Artillery Man, Administrative Clerk, Administrative Chief, Ground Nuclear Weapons Administrative Support/Maintenance Technician, Personnel/Administrative Officer, and Ground Nuclear Weapons Officer.

Civilian:

Shortly after my retirement from the Marine Corps New Mexico State Government employed me for approximately fourteen years. During that period of time I was privileged to have been given the opportunity to serve as a Veterans’ Service Officer with the NM Department of Veterans’ Services for approximately four and a half years, which was by far one of my most gratifying and rewarding positions that I held in NM State Government because it gave me the opportunity to assist my fellow Veteran Comrades, their families and/or survivors in need.

As a result of my experiences both as a Marine and a State Veterans’ Service Officer, I’ve made it a personal goal of mine to be a life-time advocate for my fellow Veteran Comrades and/or their families because I truly believe in “Veterans Helping Veterans,” and will forever do my part to ensure that they get their earned and much deserved benefits due them as a result of their honorable and unselfish duty to their country as a current or former member of our country’s armed forces.

Currently I am honored to be a volunteer for two non-profit/non-partisan organizations:

NM U.S. Volunteers-America, Inc. (USV)

Homes For Our Troops

In conclusion: I am not a politician and thus am not known for always being politically correct because I call it as I see it. I served during the entire course of the Viet Nam War and lost many a friend there.  I attribute their loss of life to some of our politicians that made some stupid decisions during the course of the war so I tend to get extremely concerned when I see any politician, regardless of their political affiliation, sex, race, color (In the Marine Corps we were all green), creed, religion, or ethnic origin doing things and/or taking actions that I see as a threat to those freedoms or rights given us under our Constitution and/or the safety, security or welfare of our Veterans, active duty members or their dependents and/or survivors.

Note: What follows is a recent blog post that shares my concerns regarding our current state under this President, his administration and allies-You Decide:

Question:  Where is America Today?

http://weroinnm.wordpress.com/2010/05/26/where-is-america-today-2/

Thank you all for your honorable service to our great country.

“All Gave Some-Some Gave All”

“God Bless Our Troops and God Bless America”

Semper Fi!

Jake

Welcome, Captain. Thank you, for your past, and continuing, service to our Nation.

I share your concerns about President Obama and his administration’s greatly accelerated rush towards tyranny, but he is not the one who put the train in motion. He is just the latest in a long line of Presidents before him, who laid the groundwork for tyranny by violating their own Oaths to the Constitution.

Indeed, it was President Bush’s unconstitutional actions, in particular, like the Patriot Act, Campaign Finance Reform, the first TARP bailout, failure to secure our borders (Article IV, Section 4), etc, that greatly influenced the formation of Oath Keepers.

However, we don’t focus on the violators of the Oath. Instead, we reach out to those patriots who took their Constitutional Oaths with the purpose of protecting our freedoms, those who will read the Constitution and realize their duty to refuse to obey unconstitutional orders and laws. Those Oath Keepers are the last line of defense against tyranny.

A tyrant is not going to, personally, go house by house, enforcing his will upon the citizenry. Tyrants rely on a complicit military and police force to carry out their tyranny for them. If the individuals in those groups refuse to obey the tyrant’s unlawful orders, the tyrant is rendered powerless. That is the goal of Oath Keepers. To, peacefully, support and defend the Constitution. We do not make any threats, or advocate any aggressive actions.

We advocate refusing to obey unlawful, unconstitutional ordes and laws, in accordance with our Oaths. Concurrently, of course, we advocate study of the Constitution. How can one be expected to support and defend the ideas inscribed on a document, unless one has read and
    understood the document?

    Dear captain,
    First, welcome aboard!
Second, It is no longer about republican vs. democrat. There are patriots on both sides, however; both political parties are more intent on political power than the future of our freedoms.
Since it is no longer about one party vs. another, and it IS about the established political animals keeping their grip on power, they have a price. They tend to sell themselves and many have been bought by those that oppose the fundamentals this nation was founded upon.
It is time all patriots wake up to these facts and stop believing in the “parties” platforms and what the incumbents say just to get elected again. It is time to selectively replace them ALL.

    My background:
US army Special Forces. 3 years in SE Asia working with Laotian hill tribes fighting the NVA. 5th Special Forces group, 46th SFCA, 3rd Special Forces Group, 7th Special Forces Group, 10th Special Forces Group.
Military Occupational Specialties: SF radio operator, SF operations and intelligence specialist, SF light weapons expert.

Military training in addition to MOS: SF HALO, SF SCUBA, Special Forces Hand to Hand Fighting Techniques, Mountain Warfare tng., Small boat tng., Russian Language school, Airborne school.

Civilian occupation: Electronics Engineer, Software Engineer.

Author: Special Forces Guerrilla Warfare Manual

Jake, first let me thank you for your service to our country, your continued service to our veterans and their families and for joining the Oath Keepers.
You will find that you are among some very real and great Americans who like yourself are doing outstanding service still for our nation and its people. I am sure that you will be an excellent addition to our organization. I also urge you to put the skills and experience that you have gained over the years to good use in your states organization so please get involved if you have not already; you have some good leaders in your state. The time is short and our mission is a very important one. As someone once said, “There’s nothing to it, but to do it.” Reach, Teach, and Inspire.

    Captain,
Thank you for being the kind of man you are, and for speaking out to tell it exactly as you see it. As a soldier of the US Army during the Viet Nam conflict, albeit stationed overseas elsewhere in the nulcear warheading field, I have the utmost respect for the man you are. Oath Keepers needs people of your calibere to lead, and I for one am proud to have you on board and would proud to serve under you. My oath to support the constitution and our way of life was extended beyond the military to my service as a State Trooper for my following career, but that oath has never been more real that it is today. I proudly stand beside you to defend this nation and our way of life. against those who would imprison you and I, to further their socialist agenda.
