Oath Keepers on the Inside: Testimonial from Officer Within the Department of Homeland Security

Oath Keepers Among Them! How bout that? They took the same oath we did.

DHS patchI am a law enforcement officer and have worked in numerous law enforcement agencies in the last many years beginning with the military. I have taken my oath to this country many times. I have also realized that we have had many “domestic enemies” over the years.

It was recently asked of me because of my current position, what I was going to do if the federal government begins to make illegal moves against its citizenry. Its something that all law enforcement must ask themselves. I do know the difference between a “lawful order” and an “unlawful order.”

Finding this site with your videos and reading your mission statement goes along with what I’ve been feeling for some time. I anticipate that many states will take the appropriate action as outlined in the 10th Amendment. Until then, we wait for “the unforgiveable line to be crossed.”

I’m in a more precarious position than some of the other law enforcement officers as I work for the Department of Homeland Security. That is why I must remain anonymous. Know that there are many like us that believe that the Constitution is the supreme law of the land and we’ll do whatever it takes to insure it remains intact.

Anonymous DHS officer

NOTE FROM STEWART RHODES

To the anonymous DHS officer: Thank you sir! It is good to hear additional confirmation that there are many federal officers who do see the dangerous road we are now on, who understand how our Republic is being subverted from within the government, who remember their oath, and who do have their personal lines in the sand figured out. As word about Oath Keepers spreads, we are hearing from more and more federal officers all the time.

To our readers: Some of you may be tempted to be hard on this anonymous officer from within DHS. for example, you might think DHS itself is unconstitutional and this officer should just resign (as I slyly suggested the agents of the BATFE should do during my speach at Lexington). I advise you to hold your fire.

First of all, remember that DHS swallowed up many other agencies and there were many lateral transfers. For example, one of my best friends started out as a border patrol agent, then moved to U.S. Customs on the border, and then that was absorbed into I.C.E. so now he officially works for I.C.E. though he is still a customs agent. So, who can say how this man ended up in DHS.

Secondly, the restoration of our Constitutional Republic will take time and will not take place overnight. Please don’t make a mistake similar to one that many libertarian idealists make of wanting to run around condemning everyone who is in government employment (suggesting that all police and military service members should just resign). Whatever you think of any given federal agency or federal “law enforcement” position, it is obviously good to have officers who do see there is a problem and who are willing to take a stand on some very important lines in the sand.

Remember, our declaration of orders we will not obey is meant to prevent the very worst from happening, so we will not have a full-blown dictatorship in this country and can right things by means of peaceful reform. That is the whole point of Oath Keepers. We are in constitutional triage. That’s why our declaration does not include statements that such and such agency should not exist, or go into minutia of the many thousands of unconstitutional government laws and actions. Let’s focus on the really big stuff – the stuff that could lead to another Revolution. Let’s focus on making that unnecessary so we can have a peaceful restoration. This officer is letting us know he and others within DHS have lines they will not cross. That is damn good to know!

Third, it’s men like this on the inside who can and do provide information to expose what is going on. The MIAC report was leaked by a Missouri police officer who happened to be a Ron Paul supporter and was ticked about being labeled a potential terrorist. And I have it on good information that both the DHS report that smeared veterans and the DHS Extremist Lexicon were leaked by a federal officer who was outraged at their contents. Such men deserve our thanks.

And I suspect we will be hearing from many more federal officers now that the elites are smearing veterans en mass as potential “terrorists” and “extremists” and now that just about anyone with even mildly conservative or libertarian views is likewise being added to the lists of potential enemies of the elite – er, I mean the state. The more citizens they try to smear and marginalize, the more military and police will have their eyes opened.

And besides, now we can add a DHS patch to our display of patches that shows that there are “Oath Keepers among them.” That ought to get a few panties in a wad. Good fun!

Great news! Thanks for speaking out and setting the example for other DHS employees who have taken the Oath.

Simply amazing! One DHS “employee” out of hundreds of thousands puts up a “testiMOANial” here and Stewart slobbers all over himself!

I’d be impressed if you could recruit 10k more of these, Stewie, but even then they’d still be a tiny minority, and WE would know who they all were. They just insist on announcing their intentions and running their mouths.

You need to go Skull and Bones, Stewie.

Thought I’d send it along and let you know how grateful I am to see people like yourself taking a stand to keep our Republic.

Thank you for your service to our Country,

    Dear DHS officer,

Thank you very much for joining OK.

As you well know OK has “one” purpose: to uphold and defend the US Constitution.

There are some posters to OK who want to muddy the waters. Please do not be distracted by their posts. Just ignore them.

    The best regards to you.

This is truly motivating that we have many members in every field as vanguards of freedom. I am so proud of the DHS agent that has become internally enlightened by the the light of Truth and the Principles of Freedom.

A Redcoat joining the Continental Army! Who would have thought?

It’s like all the cops who join OK’ers. They believe in the constitution because they believe every law they enforce … by violence and State sanctioned murder … are … constitutional … because … well … gee … this is America … and if it was unconstitutional … it wouldn’t be a law. And besides, if you don’t like the law, don’t blame me … change the … law.

See … they can never think for themselves.

He is “protecting” our “freedoms” while obeying every unconstitutional “law” that “justifies” his existence.

Oh know, he won’t violate any of the 10 holeeee orders. But sure as heck, he’ll obey everything else unconstitutional.

Stewart? Did you feel a thrill run up your leg?

Well, you had me, right up to the point where Mr. Rhodes complained about about how “just about anyone with even mildly conservative or libertarian views is likewise being added to the lists of potential enemies of the elite – er, I mean the state.”

In that one sentence, Mr. Rhodes has effectively doomed this movement to failure, as well as illustrating the mindset that allowed the corporatization of our government to happen in the first place.

Conservatism is the road through which this corruption of our constitutional government has occurred.

It is through rightwing paranoia that we now have the “Patriot Act”, as well as a defense budget that is larger than the GDP of most other civilized nations on Earth, most of which is spent on PRIVATE companies who place profit far above the interest in the security and defense of this Nation.

It is the conservative ideology that has allowed our Fourth Estate, the “free and unfettered press”, to be consolidated and concentrated into the hands of six multinational corporations, who act in collusion to keep the actual workings of their government in obscurity. In fact, the myth of the “liberal media bias” is the greatest con job ever pulled on the American People since the Federal Reserve Act of 1913.

It is the conservative mindset that has allowed our Supreme Court to proclaim corporations to be persons, with all constitutional protections implied.

It is conservative businessmen in government, who view Labor as an expense to be cut, rather than the living, breathing asset to production that it truly is, that have allowed our borders to remain porous, and have allowed corporations to move production offshore to countries with no Labor protections, without penalty.

Allow me to point out, that intelligent, progressive and liberal-minded people have been outraged about this corporate takeover of government, its infiltration of BOTH major political parties, and its subsequent usurpation and stripping of constitutional power, pretty much from the moment JFK was assassinated for daring to issue Executive Order #11110 in an attempt to restore to Congress the Constitutional responsibility to issue currency.

It is progressive, liberal thinkers who opposed the Federal Reserve Act and the unconstitutional 16th Amendment. It was progressives who vehemently opposed our entry into WWII at the urging of the banking elite who were financing and profiting from BOTH sides of the conflict (see Prescott Bush’s involvement with Harriman Brothers, Union Bank, Fritz Thiessen and the bankrolling of Nazi industry, as well as Standard Oil’s contracts with I.G. Farben).

It is progressive thinkers who violently opposed our involvement in Vietnam and the drafting of our working class sons to die for the profit of corporate “defense” contractors.

It is progressive and liberal-minded people who realized that “individual liberty” should probably cover ALL INDIVIDUALS, not just white male protestant land owners.

While I admire this movement, and have the utmost respect for those law enforcement personnel who have the spine to live by their conscience, it is MY patriotic duty to point out that GOVERNMENT is not the enemy; It is the corrupt, amoral and universally conservative corporate and banking elite that has usurped the government, that is the True enemy of Freedom.

Government itself, is a necessary evil, and as long as government is subservient to the People, it is what allows society to exist in Liberty and peace. My personal message to those on the right, who are finally waking up to the corruption that has been slowly spreading for the last 97 years, is to stop hacking at the branches of evil, and start digging for the ROOT!

    Torch,

Oath Keepers is about refusing to obey unlawful, unconstitutional orders. We don’t care if those orders come from one of the Bush clan or from a Soros puppet. We are non partisan, so your pro-progressive propaganda falls flat.

We aren’t pushing a political agenda, so your attack is very telling. You either don’t understand Oath Keepers, or you are trying to conflate us with groups you WANT us to be like.

  9. 9
    Torch Says:

I am also very non-partisan, and any intelligent progressive will tell you that the current democratic party is every bit the corporate puppet as the GOP. Witness how absolutely nothing has changed between 2008 and now. The powers that be are now so complacent and confident, that even with regime change, the key players remain in the key positions (i.e. Gates as SOD and Geithner as SOT).

I was merely pointing out that when it comes to awareness and outrage at the usurpation of our government, it is folly to imply, as Mr. Rhodes had done in his comment, that that awareness is the sole province of those who identify as “libertarian”, or “conservative”, when in fact educated people with a progressive perspective have known and have fought against it for decades. It reminds me of a quip from a much more literate time from a character named Mr. Dooley: “Histhry always vindicates the Dimmycrats, but niver in their lifetime. They see th’ thruth first, but th’ throuble is, nawthin is iver officially true till a Raypublican sees it.” 1906

I am damn glad that there are those in government positions who are willing to stand against it, regardless of their political orientation. Welcome aboard!
