I have taken the oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States at least six times during my life, in and out of the military service. I hold that oath to be very sacred to me personally, my country and those that love and have fought for liberty and freedom. I am very discouraged and disturbed, during these times of trial for our country, at those who would destroy everything that so many have fought and died to preserve for the last 238 years, and seem to be so successfully able to carry out their dirty deeds with so very little opposition. My oath to protect and defend is very dear to me and was to so many of those, whom I fought beside, who never returned.

I would hate to have to explain to them and their loved ones that their lives were eventually given in vain. I will go down fighting (literally) if I must to preserve the country that I love and fought for. Preservation of our union and the precepts upon which it was established are worth fighting again and dying for if I must. My enemies are the socialists, the Marxists, and the Communists who so openly and proudly declare that they need to destroy what we have and declare that we MUST fundamentally change our country.

Our country is just fine and needs to be preserved with the faith and principals upon which it was established and get these treasonists prosecuted and or deported if necessary. They need to try living under the conditions which they are trying to subject us to for a while. All of these educated and educator types that only deal in theory their entire lives have absolutely no idea what they are really attempting to create. Those ideas have been tried in vain for many many years. Hasn’t history meant anything to these people? Did they really learn nothing in school? I know of immigrants who came here looking for a better life years ago that are returning to the countries they once left saying that they have been through this before and they want no part of it.

Thanks for your commitment to the Constitution.

I have seen people addicted to gambling who act the way you describe the… I’ll just call them progressives. They think that THIS time, they’ll get it right. The problem is that they completely factor out human nature. The common fatal flaw in all progressive utopias.

They really didn’t learn it in school because school is simply govt run. Of all the things we had to memeorize and regurgitate in school, the Constitution was not one of them. Thank goodness for patriots.

Oath of Enlistment

I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

Site Dedication

This site is dedicated to the memory of John William Adams (1925-2006), Marine and Oath Keeper extraordinaire.

John Adams, at the age of 16, lied about his age to join the Marines so he could fight against Imperial Japan in the Pacific. His enlistment date was December 10, 1941, just three days after the attack on Pearl Harbor (see below). As a Marine rifleman, he fought the Japanese from island to island, across the pacific, including at Iwo Jima. We may have good men, but we never had better.

Until his death in 2006, he was a dedicated patriot who still took his oath to defend the Republic deadly serious. May God grant you the courage to do likewise.

Founder Stewart Rhodes

He is a former firearms instructor and former member of Rep. Ron Paul’s DC staff.

Stewart previously wrote the monthly Enemy at the Gates column for S.W.A.T. Magazine

Stewart graduated from Yale Law School in 2004, where his paper “Solving the Puzzle of Enemy Combatant Status” won Yale’s Miller prize for best paper on the Bill of Rights. He assisted teaching U.S. military history at Yale, was a Yale Research Scholar, and is writing a book on the dangers of applying the laws of war to the American people.
