Citizen pledge to defend the Constitution

American-FlagUnfortunately I never had the honor of serving in the military nor within a police or fire organization.  Although I have never publicly sworn to uphold the Constitution, as an American it is my responsibility not only to our forefathers but also to our future generations as well as to defend this document and what it stands for.

We are given life with certain unwritten responsibilities to others, and one responsibility is the just and honorable way of life that defends what our culture was founded on and should stand for.  I pledge my allegiance not only to the Constitution of the United States of America, but also to those who have given their lives to ensure us the opportunity for an honorable way of life that we should all live.
