What does It take before we come to our senses and do what we swore?
I am not what anyone would call a hero but I did serve in the USNR as an Aviation Electronics Technician, E1 to E5 from 1965 to 1970. I recall the transition of our country from one with many outward patriotic values to one that seemed ashamed of those same values by the time my enlistment ended and I was quite unhappy about it. This transition has continued downward almost continually since then until we had a slight resurgence to traditional values during the Reagan presidency and again, slightly, during the G.W. Bush presidency. I predicted, not that I am proud of it, the current unraveling of the fabric of our society under the leadership of the Obama administration and the current congressional leadership prior to the most recent presidential election and am sorry to see that I was right.
Upon seeing how quickly President Obama and the current Democrat Congressional leadership is subverting the Constitution, the State rights and other rights built into the Constitution, I recall the oath I took when I enlisted in the Navy. I then asked where are all the millions other dedicated men and women that took that same oath and why aren’t we living up to that oath? What does It take before we come to our senses and do what we swore we would do to protect the Constitution from these enemies that are in power now and actively subverting everything we swore to protect? The Oathkeepers.org and its membership is the first real sign I have seen that anyone is really taking that oath we all took seriously, that it actually means something and we are going to finally do something about it.
I believe that numbers count and that just as in Poland when the Solidarity movement gained momentum there will be the kind of change that we need to see. But only if we stand together and let the ruling establishment know they aren’t in charge anymore and that they are on their way out of office and that their day of tyranny is over. We’re not going to stand for their antics and agenda any longer. We’re going to take our country back and never allow it to be threatened again with their kind of treasonous activity that is against everything we hold so dear in the United States of America. We must show them our numbers and our determination and make them leave never to return. We must protect our country, our Constitution and the general welfare, rights and liberties of its citizens from enemies we now see so clearly both without and within.
Please donate and support Oath Keepers mission, every little bit helps!

Let’s see… you got into the reserves in ‘65 to avoid Nam, right?
“We must show them our numbers…”
What numbers? That’s good for a laugh. Just cockroaches trying to avoid the light.

What about those of us who support the legitimate elected government? Are we then traitors, too? When you “take the country back”, does that mean its the camps for us, or do we just go up against the wall? You’re going to have to kill an awful lot of people! Some of us might even fight back.

Sorry, but if you read your Constitution, this government is NOT legitimate. Let’s start with how Senators were supposed to be elected why don’t we?
And yes, if you support this government, if you back them up, if you choose to continue to financially support them, then yes, you are a traitor in my opinion. Sorry, but I’m not going to mince words here. But if you shelter traitors, if you provide them material and psychological aide and comfort, then you are nothing more than they are.
Welcome to the Oath Keepers brother, sorry to start this with an attack on other people commenting. I care not how you came to swear your Oath, I care not why you swore the Oath, I only care that you choose today to take your stand with us today. You are in fine company here, and we welcome you with open arms. Make sure to get out there and reach, teach and inspire. That’s the Oath Keeper mission, and we’re damned good at it. You’re right, the more people we get to wake up and take their Oaths seriously, the better off this Nation is going to be when it comes time to take the Republic back. The more people peacefully resisting, the better off we all are.
Thank you for your patriotism, and thank you for drawing your line in the sand.

Welcome to OK.
Thank you for your service in the USNR.
When reading the OK blogs you will want to ignore and not respond to some posters. Every blog has them. To respond to them would be a complete waste of time. They are not one of us.
Best regards to you.

To Post no. 5:
I agree with your post, but it didn’t start with President Obama, whom I have absolutely NO use for. President Bush, in my opinion, was the worst President in my lifetime. But you could debate who is the worst, as of “this” date. President Bush signed the Constitution destroying Patriot Act into law, nullified the Posse Comitatus Act, confiscated guns in New Orleans, lied us into war (Would someone pleas tell me why Americans are dying and bleeding in Iraq and Afghanistan?), kept the borders wide open for eight years to the illegal invasion, ran up a trade deficit of $800,000,000,000.00 and an operating deficit of $500,000,000,000.00 in his last year, ad infinitum.
Best regards.

Hey Glen, I believe that would be a Harley drivin redneck cockroach for Buck Turd. Don’t bother about his IP, one day he’ll need an IV, if he’s not already on one.

To the OK from the USNR:
Thanks for joining.
Whichever branch of service you were in we are glad to have you in OK.
You will find that it is best to ignore some posts on OK blogs. They come from ignorant individuals, and are not worth responding to. The world is full of ignorant people and unfortunately we have a couple on OK. But you will find that the vast majority of posts are from intelligent, thinking. and informed individuals.
The best to you.

” …you will find that the vast majority of posts are from intelligent, thinking. and informed individuals”
Never mind that most can’t spell or assemble a coherent thought in a sentence.
