Vietnam Vet Honors Oath and is Proud to be and American

ArmyLogoI was born in Dayton,Ohio on Jan.22,1948. I served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969. I did two tours of duty in Vietnam during 1967,68,and 69. I was attached to the 180th Assault Support Helicopter Company in Tuy Hoa,South Vietnam.Even though the war in Vietnam was opposed by many Americans I felt the call to duty to defend and serve my country and to preserve freedom.

In doing so I felt a deep connection to every one of my brothers-in-arms that has every fought and served this great country. I gave my oath then to defend my country; and I now reaffirm that oath.I am both honored and proud to be an American.

Thanks for the welcome Greg. I crossed that long steel bridge many a time. We were about 50 miles south of Tuy Hoa right on the coast, right behind a fishing village. Glad you made it back home. Thanks for reaffirming your oath too. We all need to fight for our country again. Blessing on you and yours as well.
