I took two oaths to uphold the Constitution, one when I joined the Army National Guard when I was seventeen and one when I was sworn in as a member of the Bar.
You’re entirely correct that the oaths we took when we enlisted do not expire. I’m a retired Master Chief Radioman (1971-1994) and am proud to join.
I took my oath in 1968, and have always considered myself a patriot of the Unites States of America. I had talked to some of the people I knew that had served in Vietnam to see how they were thinking about our federal government’s do as they want attitude
I served in the U.S. Air Force from July 5,1966 to July 2,1970. Then in 1981 went to work at Robins AFB, Warner Robins, Ga. So you see I have pretty much been a keeper of the oath for quite some time now.
