I believe our Constitution was giving to us by God
I joined the USAF in 1983 at the age of 18. I went in open career, hoping to serve my country by allowing them to put me where ever they saw fit. I went direct duty (no tech school) to the Pentagon my first 3.5 years and then NSA for 3.5 years and then to Offutt AFB for 2 years until I got out with the RIF (Reduction In Force) that Clinton was offering. After my first 3.5 years I was in Black Ops (NRO).
When I took my oath in 1983, it really didn’t register what it meant. I had always been Patriotic, my Father was a 30 year Marine, and my Grand Father served in the Navy. I just knew it was the thing to do. But in 1990 when I got to Offutt and started going to Midlands Bible Baptist Church, that is when I really learned about what it meant to take an Oath and to honor it.
Our Pastor is a student of history, so he taught us about the founding fathers and about the Constitution and the part the Bible had in the creating of the Constitution and the intent of the our founding fathers when they complied the documents to start our country. That made it even more special to me and to this day, I feel I have a duty to defend the constitution. Next the the Bible, I believe our Constitution was giving to us by God. An I will defend it until the day I die.

Can someone correct the misspelled title? I’m sure it’s supposed to read “given” and not “giving.”

I agree that our Constitution was divinely inspired. When our Founders were in stalemate over representation and about to disband in disgust, wasn’t it Ben Franklin who suggested that they appeal to the almighty for guidance, as they had so many times before?
