My oath was to uphold and preserve the Constitution-that means this set of ideals has been adopted and ratified by the States and is to be used to frame all other laws, regulations, ordinances and rules and must be held and kept to in it’s original form-it is NOT flexible
It’s been 25+ years since I took the Oath. I’m not the young man I once was nor can I do the same things. However, to this day, the Oath I took then is just as alive in me today.
I explain to them that we do not live in a democracy but rather a Constitutional Republic. Sadly, I have spoken with “educated” individuals, who don’t know this…
I gave my Oath in September 1972. When I was honorably discharged in 1976 I was not asked to rescind my Oath. From that time I have felt that I had a responsibility to “Protect and Defend the Constitution of the United States”.
Today my fears are that their are those who will allow the Constitution to be violated. I found out about Oath Keepers while listening to the “O’Reilly Factor”
For years my husband and I have felt the same way as the “Orders we will NOT obey” many times we have talked about what we would do if things go to hell, how we would take care of our family. I feel this is the place to start.
I have been telling people for years and years that I took the oath but was never asked to un-take the oath. I feel that once you take the oath to support and defend the constitution
I have always been proud to be an American. I took the oath twice, once in the Air force ‘52 to ‘56 and the Air National Guard ‘64 to ‘68. I didn’t take this oath lightly
My father always preached to me the significance of our last name to me (Wallace). Remarks of liberty and freedom were at the center of each lecture.
While not part of the traditional oath taking professions of defense or law enforcement, as an transportation engineer for the State of California, I, too, took an oath to uphold the constitution (US and state) against enemies, foreign and domestic.
The first time I took the oath was as a Naval reserve boot in the basement of the county courthouse in Garfield county, Oklahoma.
I have 32 years active, reserves, and AGR. The highlight of my career was taking the OATH numerous times. I will live by and support the OATH every day.
As we prepared our response to Stewart Rhodes’ appearance on the O’Reilly Factor we decided to let Bill debate himself. It is obvious that Bill O’Reilly knows that the 2nd Amendment is specifically for a time of emergency.
This is why I joined Oath Keepers! For love of God, Family, Country and the Freedoms I still enjoy…though they are disappearing little at a time.
At the ripe old age of eighteen, out of love for my country, I joined the United States Air Force and, on March 3, 1983, I took the oath. I took it seriously then and I take it even more seriously now.
Freedom of speech is the liberty to freely say what one pleases, as well as to hear what others have stated. It allows us to speak publicly about our own government
