The best friends I have ever had were the ones I served with

82nd_AirborneI served in the Army from 1989 – 1993. My primary motivation at that time was college money, but my overall experience ended up providing me with much more than that.

As a member of the 82nd, I had to become a member of a team. I had to learn to rely on the guy next to me and him on me. To become part of something much bigger than myself. The best friends I have ever had were the ones I served with.

These are some of the things that I have used in order to create success in my life since leaving the Army.

These are things that liberals cannot understand. They don’t provide instant gratification. You can’t fly solo. And you have to put a good amount of effort and hard work into achieving your goals. Liberals would rather ride the efforts of others, focus on themselves, and take credit at the end of the road.

I rest my political beliefs on four factors – The Constitution, family, sound economics, and common sense. The day I can find a Democrat that believes in these things, I will consider voting for them. Until then, I think I’ll stay conservative.
