Mesquite Local News: Letter to the Editor

Source: Mesquite Local News

ok_patch_tabI want to thank everybody who attended the Mesquite Area Oath Keepers Meeting on Thursday night, March 18.

It was a great success with members in attendance from Las Vegas, Arizona and from here in Mesquite.

The topic of discussion was from the Bill of Rights on the Second Amendment and the order of not disarming the American People.

The meeting featured three speakers: the first spoke on how many Rights were guaranteed by the Bill of Rights and touched upon the importance of these Rights.

The second spoke on the Second Amendment Rights and how it was similar in many ways to the State Constitution plus the City and County laws and ordinances.

The third speaker discussed the history of the Second Amendment, how it came about, why it came about, and why it is Un-Constitutional for the rights of the American People to be infringed upon.

The only thing that the meeting lacked was someone from the Mesquite Police Department, the Mayor office, City Attorney, City Manager, and the Fire Department to give expert feedback to the Group on these issues.

The Mesquite Oath Keepers Mission is to Reach, Teach, and Inspire those who are uninformed as to not obeying Un-Constitutional orders, to be the Guardians of the Republic and sound the Clarion Call, and then stand down when First Responders arrive on scene of Constitutional infringements.

Therefore, it is vital for every citizen to know what our Constitution says, whether it be the Federal or State Constitution, so our Republic can remain free as intended by the Founding Fathers.

Dr. Manning would like to have possibly this group supporting and endorsing him and his efforts for this trial. Also, he needs as many people as possible to attend.

How many types of oaths are there? Can you post them? How can one break his/her oath?

    Herb Reed Says:

Phil, there is but one Oath, but some have extra things added like for the protecting and defending and upholding of their State Constitution. One military Oath has swearing to obey the President of the United States, but the MOST important part of the Oath is: “I (name) do solemny swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constution of the United States of America, against all emenies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same, and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose to evasion, pledging my life, my fortune, and my sacred honor. So help me GOD.”

Finally, the oath expires upon your death, ONLY.

There is nobody taking away any guns now. This threat exists only in your imagination.

Why don’t you guys actually get worked up about the very real taking away of rights that is happening with the Arizona law that requires people to show papers on demand and carry papers 24 hours a day. The law hasn’t even gone into effect and an American citizen has been detained because he didn’t have his birth certificate. This is the threat to the republic.

Why is Oath Keepers silent on this very real violation of the constitution? Don’t you care about real violations of laws other than 2nd amendment issues?

    Herb Reed Says:

Wdrane, you asked, “Why don’t you guys actually get worked up about the very real taking away of rights…”
Let’s look at When and Where people are asked for their papers, and this does not matter where it is in the States United:
    1. When stopped by law enforcement ALL people are asked for their papers, be it driver’s license, passport, visa, or green card.

    2. Making purchases on my department store credit card.

    3. When I show up for a doctor’s appointment.

    4. When filling out a credit card or loan application.

    5. When applying for or renewing a driver’s license or passport.

    6. When applying for any kind of insurance.

    7. When filling out college applications.

    8. When donating blood.

    9. When obtaining certain prescription drugs.

    10. When making some debit purchases, especially if I’m out of state.

    11. When collecting a boarding pass for airline or train travel.
    12. When I enter any club I joined. (Moose, Elks, Lions, Eagles, American Legion).
And lastly you asked these two questions:
1.) Why is Oath Keepers silent on this very real violation of the constitution?
2.) Don’t you care about real violations of laws other than 2nd amendment issues?
If you were to read the Ten Orders that we will NOT OBEY, you would see that all of these rights that are in the Constitution’s Bill of Rights are covered in this Ten Orders, and therefore, our Mission is to “Reach, Teach, and Inspire” the first responders of our Country (Military, Law Enforcement, and Fire Fighters whether they be Active duty, Retired, Reserves, or National Guard) about these Constitutional Rights that they DO NOT have to OBEY when commanded by whomsoever to do so.

    Richard Greene Says:

There is a reason nobody from the Mesquite Police Department, the Mayor’s office, City Attorney, or City Manager’s office showed up to give any feedback to the Group on the issues we stand for. The reason is none of these individuals or government offices in Mesquite believe in them and are opposed to any person or organization that would try and take their power away. Mesquite being a small town has incorporated its own sense of justice based on their beliefs and not the US Constitution or Bill of Rights. As anyone in Mesquite knows almost 100% of the government and judicial personnel belong to the same organization and they all rule the town based on the preaching of that organization and not the US Constitution or Bill of Rights. If there is a conflict between the US Constitution/Bill of Rights and their personal beliefs the US Constitution and Bill of Rights are discarded and anyone caught in the middle will be trampled over or worse. I speak from experience.
