My background and reasons for supporting Oath Keepers

george-washington-prayer-valley-forge In 1944 I registered for the draft. Before being drafted, I volunteered to join the US Navy. While in boot camp at Great Lakes, I was informed that my brother, a year older than I, was killed in action during the Battle of the Bulge in Luxembourg. I would not wish that burden on anybody. However, we must understand that this is part of our heritage.

Our rights are supported in the preamble to our Constitution: “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

During my early education, our historic heritage was instilled in me. The significant pictures of Washington on his knees, praying at Valley Forge and crossing the Delaware demonstrates his dedication to preserve this country in time of war. Later, in peacetime, his dedication secured the due respect of his countrymen.

Abraham Lincoln, during his Gettysburg Address, gave homage to those who had died in the war, stating that they did not die in vain but died to preserve our heritage.

After boot camp at Great Lakes Naval Station, I trained to become a Gunner’s Mate. I then served on the USS Essex CV9, a large aircraft carrier in Halsey’s Third Fleet. On our way to the Japanese Islands of Honshu, Kyushu and Hokaido, we had a Japanese torpedo bomber headed straight at our rear starboard 5 inch gun mount. Apparently he was hit by the US Marines quad 40 mm guns and the plane just skimmed the flight deck hitting only some rails on the port side. Thanks to God, my life was spared.

I have lived a happy life, always thankful and blessed. I never had any free time until I retired.

Most people under 50 years of age have no idea of where our country stands. We have an obligation to expose corruption in government that is not representing the public by violating the constitution and leading us headlong toward a socialist government.

I wholeheartedly join you in supporting our goals.

Albert: thank you for your service and I hope you have been pleasantly surprised by the tea party movement as well as other citizen activism aimed at restoring our Republic for which you and others like you fought for and are still fighting for. I think our Founding Fathers are making a comeback and the principles they held dear are still alive and well today among the majority. We’ve just been silent for too long, but not anymore.

I would like to connect the personalities and circumstances of change related to the history of Israel and the path that the United States of America may drift toward. Patriotic Americans must take charge and unite in purpose to focus on truth, ideals, values and constitutional principles. My reference is the “Life Applications Study Bible”, King James version 1988-1989, Tyndale House Publishers, Introduction to Kings I, and Kings II, Pages 590 and 591.
The original writers of the Constitution relied on honorable principles. We all know that there have been many focused on destroying the Constitution and we have already noted that the political parties have failed horribly to preserve the principles that made this country great. To walk in the ways of the world, many administrators including our present leaders have come closer to choosing big government and New World Order principles which limit freedom.
To get a basic idea of potential degeneration and destruction of our country, PLEASE take the time to review how the degenerate kings and rulers led Israel to its destruction.

Oath of Enlistment

I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

Site Dedication

This site is dedicated to the memory of John William Adams (1925-2006), Marine and Oath Keeper extraordinaire.

John Adams, at the age of 16, lied about his age to join the Marines so he could fight against Imperial Japan in the Pacific. His enlistment date was December 10, 1941, just three days after the attack on Pearl Harbor (see below). As a Marine rifleman, he fought the Japanese from island to island, across the pacific, including at Iwo Jima. We may have good men, but we never had better.

Until his death in 2006, he was a dedicated patriot who still took his oath to defend the Republic deadly serious. May God grant you the courage to do likewise.

Founder Stewart Rhodes

He is a former firearms instructor and former member of Rep. Ron Paul’s DC staff.

Stewart previously wrote the monthly Enemy at the Gates column for S.W.A.T. Magazine

Stewart graduated from Yale Law School in 2004, where his paper “Solving the Puzzle of Enemy Combatant Status” won Yale’s Miller prize for best paper on the Bill of Rights. He assisted teaching U.S. military history at Yale, was a Yale Research Scholar, and is writing a book on the dangers of applying the laws of war to the American people.
