Transportation Engineer: “I may be asked to violate the oath I have taken. I will not follow those orders.”

cali sealWhile not part of the traditional oath taking professions of defense or law enforcement, as an transportation engineer for the State of California, I, too, took an oath to uphold the constitution (US and state) against enemies, foreign and domestic… I also took this oath in my  volunteer positions with the state and my local county. While my role may be smaller, I may still be ordered by my superiors (the Governator) to enforce blockades, states of emergency, and “maintaining control”. There are many situations where I may be asked to violate the oath I have taken. I will not follow those orders.

Thanks for jumping in. The “citizen who comes out of the woodwork” is the most blessed backup – - he takes it on himself even if it’s “not in my job description”.
Everyone who supports and defends the Constitution is a patriot, and the militias (simpy: citizens who had arms and were willing to stand in defense of their country) turned the tide in our first revolution.
