I am so glad I discovered The Oath Keepers.
I am so glad I discovered The Oath Keepers. My father flew 53 missions as a forward artillery observer in Korea, shot down twice, wounded twice and spent 3 weeks MIA and then went on to do 2 tours in Viet Nam before retiring as a Command Sergeant Major in 1968. I was just a child and when I grew up, I joined in 1980 as a 67N UH-1H crew. All my NCO’s were Viet Nam Huey Vets and made quite an impression on me. I took the oath in January 1981 in response to foreign concerns and I still hold it true to this day. I never really thought about the “domestic” part of the oath because it seemed so impossible, so far away, until these days. I can still hold my own and glad to become part of the Oath Keepers.
