Freedom to me is just what is says “Freedom”
The reason I joined Oath Keepers is due to a deep personal commitment and desire to protect the United States of America. I am concerned by how many of our fellow citizens do not know about our Constitutional obligations as citizens. Freedom to me is just what is says “Freedom”. I am sure that many of you have felt the same concern and you have been looking for a way to contribute to the greater good of our nation. I say to you, stand and be counted among like minded citizens here with Oath Keepers.
I want to address the skeptics who would question the creditability of the members here at Oath Keepers. Look into my background Hell we can meet if it makes you feel better. Unfortunately for me and other Vet’s there have been many liars who have never served posing as veterans.
While I was serving in the Army, an officer from the pentagon visited my military unit and spoke to us about “courage and sacrifice”. He talked about how important it is for men and woman to serve selflessly and how each person must have the courage to “charge the enemy’s guns”(physically or metaphorically). He drew upon the many acts of courage in our countries history where men and woman have faced the enemy’s of freedom. “Willing and Able” I thought to myself, then and now.
Many of you have known someone in your family or friends who have paid the ultimate price in the service of our nation. To these people I would like to say “Thank You” for their service. If you haven’t then I would recommend that you take a look at some of our country men who have and find your inner strength. Men like Jeremy King, John Borbonus, Brandon Titus, Micky Zaun, and Gary Gordon. A dose of inspiration from our fellow countrymen is good for the soul.
Personally I endure physical pain daily and this is a constant reminder to me of my personal sacrifice. I was injured while serving as an Army Paratrooper and after several medical procedures, physical therapy and 12 years & 3 months of service I received an honorable disability discharge.
I personally have made a commitment to “Never Forget” my friends who have lost all in the defense of our great nation. I believe that I honor my brothers and sisters by continuing to uphold the “Oath” till my last breath. I have taken the oath four times, the first on my enlistment day and the others each time I reenlisted to continue my service in the Army (92,96,98,01). My oath did not expire…
To those who have not served your commitment to the oath is no different than mine other than the circumstances you take the oath. I am very proud of our melting pot of talent and individualism we call America and it takes all of us to make it work. God Bless.

Welcome, the pain of losing your friends, the pain you endure. Your not alone thats for sure.
From another vet who sits here in pain, who understands it too, welcome to the ranks of those who care. We, those that know the true law, are special, and we are still free, people like us will help to make sure our grandkids stay free. And think of those right now in battle in Afganistan, they are young like we were, full of fire and life. Im so proud of all of the men and women who are my countrymen. WElcome to Oathkeepers
