Everyday I pray for my fellow servicemen (and women). I pray that you stay true to your oath, your beliefs, an to your country. I pray for your safe and swift return from harms way as well.
8 years in USN. Viet Nam. I took my oath in 1970. I was told then that it never stopped and would be a lifelong oath. I will still live by the oath taken so many years ago, and don’t understand those who don’t
While the terms of my enlistment were satisfied long ago, the oath I took was open-ended. It expires when I do. That said, I will oppose any legislation enacted in violation of any of the provisions of the Constitution.

I was stationed at a Submarine Base in HolyLoch,Scotland and I was very proud to serve my country. The one thing that I was happy to do was to take the Oath and I took the oath very seriously.

I took the oath to protect the Constitution for the first time in 1961, the was when I joined the Marines just as my father did during WWII.
I joined the US Army in 1964 and graduated from The Infantry School as a 2d Lieutenant of Infantry mid year. Served 3/8 Infantry and 3/12 Infantry, 4th Infantry Division. Served in Vietnam as MACV Advisor, II CTZ, 1969-70
