Viet Nam Vet: “Freedom is NOT Free”
I served active in the US Navy from 6/3/62 to 6/10/65. Back then it was called a “kiddie kruise”. I was released the day before I was 21 years old. I did two tours of Tonkin Gulf Patrol in 64. Viet Nam became a recognized war in Aug. of 64. Thus my VA disability meds are covered. I am disabled, but not from service related injuries. The VA has always treated me like I was the only patient they had. Last New Years eve day at 6:00 am I was admitted to the emergency room with advanced pneumonia (I have copd), spent 3 days in ICU, were it not for their rapid diagnosis and response to my needs I would not have made it. I took an Oath on June 3, 1962 to defend Americans that has not expired. This type of people in the VA makes me proud that I did. Most of the people that served me weren’t born when I was in service, which proves to me this Country still produces “GOOD” people. I have very little physical abilities anymore, but I fight on my computer by fwdg conservative information to a large buddy list. I am a NRA member, and I support our troops with care packages and Phone cards. I am an active member of my church family, and a member of our Music ministry. I believe in God first, Country second, Family third, everybody else take a number. Politically I am a little to the right of Attila the Hun, I refuse to bend to Liberal ideologies…Freedom is NOT Free.

Welcome Navy, its great to have another squid aboard. If you find yourself reading comments that make less than perfect sense, most likely its not a Navy man. Proud to have you with us.
