I will stand with Oath Keepers

ConstitutionDayPic As a Lieutenant and 32 yr. veteran of a large sheriff’s office in central Florida, I never thought I would be on the outside of my government. Unfortunately, the government has been taken over by big bankers who have constantly eroded the freedoms of Americans through their political actions. The Constitution has been kicked around and now they are trying to kill it completely. If you throw out God and the Constitution you might as well go live in some 3rd world cesspool somewhere. How can you be free when we don’t even have an honest money system ? They can do what they want to take away freedoms but I’m not going to be a part of it. I will stand for what is right and fight to gain back what we have lost. The problem is that I don’t know that we can get it back. Most people want the government to do everything for them and give them everything without working for it. I don’t expect that I can make a large scale contribution to that end, but I will do everything on a personal and professional level to fight this evil tyranny. I will stand with Oath Keepers and abide by the 10 “Orders we will not obey” because they are just and responsible in this ever changing country we live in.

Its good to hear a fellow Floridian is keeping their Oath and thank you for honoring it. One question? What do your fellow officers think about this situation? Are they on board of being an Oath Keeper also?

To put your mind at ease a little bit, there’s a lot of us that understand that we can’t follow every single declaration under all circumstances. Many of the peace officers immediately recognize that there will be times when warrantless searches, for example, will be necessary. However, the OK is accomplishing what it set out to accomplish. We’re all thinking ahead of time what we’ll do if and when certain situations arise. We’ve already let a lot of people and government officials know that “it ain’t gonna happen” and hopefully have discouraged or eliminated the folly that we would just fall into lockstep with their wishes and orders in the case they wanted us to be thugs working on their behalf to violate the rights of our citizens. Welcome aboard.

Oath of Enlistment

I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

Officers Oath

Site Dedication

This site is dedicated to the memory of John William Adams (1925-2006), Marine and Oath Keeper extraordinaire.

John Adams, at the age of 16, lied about his age to join the Marines so he could fight against Imperial Japan in the Pacific. His enlistment date was December 10, 1941, just three days after the attack on Pearl Harbor (see below). As a Marine rifleman, he fought the Japanese from island to island, across the pacific, including at Iwo Jima. We may have good men, but we never had better.

Until his death in 2006, he was a dedicated patriot who still took his oath to defend the Republic deadly serious. May God grant you the courage to do likewise.

We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to “keep the peace” or to “maintain control." 9. We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies. 10.We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.

Founder Stewart Rhodes

He is a former firearms instructor and former member of Rep. Ron Paul’s DC staff.

Stewart previously wrote the monthly Enemy at the Gates column for S.W.A.T. Magazine

Stewart graduated from Yale Law School in 2004, where his paper “Solving the Puzzle of Enemy Combatant Status” won Yale’s Miller prize for best paper on the Bill of Rights. He assisted teaching U.S. military history at Yale, was a Yale Research Scholar, and is writing a book on the dangers of applying the laws of war to the American people.
