I was asked to visit this site by the mother of a young fellow of like mind. Her husband's cousin, "Big Vinnie", was KIA in Vietnam, LZ Candy, 1/8, 1st Cav, and this young man bears his uncle's name. I add this small preface only to remind all that we, this band of brothers, whether we served in country in the Great War, or Korea, or Vietnam, or Panama, or Grenada, or Haiti, or Somalia, or the Sandbox, are all of the same cloth. I do not use the word Patriot lightly, and long before I was directed here, I have often said that the oath we took has no expiration date. And so, as the Eagle on the Great Seal of the United States keeps his eye on the olive branch of peace, so should we. In his left talon, though, ever at the ready, are the arrows of might and strength and justice. And so then, we must equally keep our arrows forever at the ready.

I served in an unpopular war, and spent from 1968-1989 in the United States Air Force. I freely admit I never did anything that remotely approaches heroic, but I had the good fortune to serve in the company of heroes.

If we fail in this mighty effort to preserve and defend the Constitution, our grandchildren will never know the sweet taste of freedom. We must prevail, hopefully at the ballot box. Join me in voting for candidates who represent Freedom, and smaller government. The primaries are upon us, and in a few short months We the People, and most especially those of us who have taken The Oath, have a chance to change history and the socialist turn this Nation has taken.
God Bless the Republic,

Heath proud to stand with you Brother. I also remember the day i swore my oath, i am a disabled Vietnam Vet and the day i walked out of Walter Reed Hospital i was hurting more that i could no longer fight with my Brothers, i have been able to overcome the disabilities, that was easy. To this day that is what has kept me going , trying to live the best i can for my Brothers that died for this country. I grew up with a cousin who also was in the First Cavalry Division, he served with D Co. 1st Bn. 8th Cav. He was KIA April 1st 1970 while saving the lives of 4 other members of his platoon while under an intense mortar barrage.Go on the computer and google Vinture Sciarretti everyone called him Vinny, Vinture was his birth name. click on Vinny Sciarretti Tribute, then go to bottom of the page and click on Ed Noreds tribute to Vinny. You will see what footsteps you have been following in.When i see that big gold patch it reminds me of one of the Bravest men i will ever know. He was awarded the SILVER STAR with a total of 8 medals.People that do not serve in the Military have no idea of the bond, the Brotherhood we share.God Bless You Heath, and God Bless America

Welcome youngblood from an ol vet. Am so happy our young warriors are man up, so proud of all of you. I feel much better knowing in my mind if you are called upon to turn a weapon on your fellow American you would have second thoughts.
