I have been looking for something like Oath Keeper

us_navy_logo I have been looking for something like Oath Keepers for while now. It’s great to be a part of this. I came from a time when public schools still taught why America was great. I joined the navy after high school and did lots of cool things. But, for some reason I was born to be a man of principles and a champion for real and complete freedom. My wife is afraid that my decision to join Oath Keepers will cause negative attention from the government goons. Well, I thought about it. And said, isn’t it sad that we have to fear our government like that, in a country that is suppose to be the lighthouse of freedom. I can not imagine a better reason to take this path and honor my oath. And so, for freedom i will stand until I fall. And I may. Get up again and again etc. etc. etc. and so forth.

Welcome aboard and thank you for your service. You’re right: while OathKeepers is not just about the current “issues”, it is sad that everything that comes from our “representatives” now needs to be distrusted.
Jefferson would say that we should never place too much trust in government, but Americans should be able to at least listen with the assumption that we are probably not being lied to by those we elect.
At least we know that most of our warriors WANT to uphold their oaths, and that is a good position to start from.

We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps. 7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext. 8. We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to “keep the peace” or to “maintain control." 9. We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies. 10.We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.

Founder Stewart Rhodes

He is a former firearms instructor and former member of Rep. Ron Paul’s DC staff.

Stewart currently writes the monthly Enemy at the Gates column for S.W.A.T. Magazine

Stewart graduated from Yale Law School in 2004, where his paper “Solving the Puzzle of Enemy Combatant Status” won Yale’s Miller prize for best paper on the Bill of Rights. He assisted teaching U.S. military history at Yale, was a Yale Research Scholar, and is writing a book on the dangers of applying the laws of war to the American people.
