Disabled veteran reaches out to potential Sheriff
I am a service connected disabled veteran of the viet-nam and cold war era. I served in the U.S. Army for 13 years. There is a man here that is running for sheriff and asked for my support. I had talked to him on the phone and asked him of his position on the Constitution and Bill of Rights, he had all the correct answers and asked me to attend his campaign rally which I did.
I was able to talk to him face to face and asked if elected to public office and received a order to disarm American civilians what would he do? He said he would have to as the government didn’t have enough people. I informed him I took a oath when I joined the army and it did not end when I got out! that any order of that type would be illegal and against the Constitution and Bill of Rights! We need to ask hard questions and do every thing in our power to see that people like this are never elected!

We must remember however that the fear and intimidation that has been applied to all of us may be currently coloring the perceptions of these potential brothers and sisters and so he may be hesitant especially at election time to admit his truest feelings on the matter. Just my two cents.

Way to go Sgt. Payne. You gave us a good lesson and nobody needs to make excuses for people like that potential sheriff. He seems too ignorant to me to be sheriff. OR HE IS AGAINST THE 2ND AMENDMENT AND THE CONSTITUTION.

That was a good reply Don.Anyone who attempts to run for such a position needs to know the job and this guy apparently didn’t. This is about far more than the second amendment but one taking such a stand is dangerous and would be willing to kill innocent people. We have many cops, I believe that do the same thing; they are cops and know just enough about the law to get away with violating it which gives them all a bad name, if the public or an individual attempt to retaliate on a wrong action by a cop they are labled and sometimes beaten and they know that when it comes between the word of a cop and a civilial a judge will never choose the word of a civilian. Power of the corrupt is used against us to further the greed of others. We need to go back to the original constitution and maintain it just as Charles Montesquieu, second most invoked political writer of the founding era said, we must be consistent(paraphased)

That man was a yes man, he is in government for the wrong reasons. He’s there because he likes the place of honor, to be seen by the people and to stroke his own ego. He’s not there as a guardian of principles which make this Nation great.
I’m not in the Military nor have I ever been, however I salute you Lonnie from the depth of my heart as one who knows if these principles of liberty and freedom aren’t valued as sacred then one day there will be the potential for incredible suffering at the hands of tyrants.
God Bless you…….
