What has gone wrong that my country needs this old war horse again?

What has gone wrong that my country needs this old war horse again?
I am looking at a large, framed grouping of my retirement certificate, a tri-folded flag, a letter from President G. W. Bush thanking me for 25 years of honorable service, and assorted badges and decorations. I can also lay hands on the package I have just sent in to AFPC for voluntary recall back to active duty for two years.
What has gone wrong that my country needs this old war horse again?
Now I find myself joining up with millions who took the same oath I did and are reaffirming their promise to keep it because our government officials have failed to do so.
What has gone wrong that my country needs this old war horse again?
For the first several years of my career in the USAF, I was a Cold Warrior. Sure it heated up several times after that, but my formative years were spent in preparation to keep the communists from taking over my country. I always considered that to be my primary duty. I sat nuclear alert as a “Hand-picked Crew” (not really what it was called, but the term might still be classified…) on a suicide line in Germany, knowing that if the balloon went up, mine would be among the first candles to incinerate an Eastern Block city, the Fulda Gap, or some other strategic target. I was also aware that my chances of returning home were about zero. I did this willingly and proudly. Now the communists are presiding over both houses of Congress and populating the conference table at daily presidential cabinet meetings. Despite my helping President Reagan to trump the Reds, causing their collapse in 1989, they have marched into Washington and taken over our government without firing a shot.
What has gone wrong that my country needs this old war horse again?
The administration has declared that 9/11, the attack on the USS Cole, and the other attacks were “man-made disasters,” and the Attorney General has reverted to terrorism being dealt with as a criminal matter, rather than an act of war. Yet, the Secretary of Homeland Security has declared the people who contribute to this site and those who attend peaceful protest “TEA Parties” to be on the terrorist watch list.
What has gone wrong that my country needs this old war horse again?
Bogus pseudo-science is threatening to shut down our already reeling economy in the interest of preventing what the Earth does continuously: Change its climate. Nobel Peace Prizes are being handed out to liars and charlatans as rewards for doing nothing but toeing the Socialist line.
What has gone wrong that my country needs this old war horse again?
My already over-taxed fellow citizens are being forced by our government to buy health insurance that no one wants and no one needs, under risk of penalty. Our borders are sieves allowing millions of invaders to enter, overwhelming our welfare system, schools, and health care apparatus. We are being forced to further accommodate them. It is all a sham to redistribute wealth in this dear Republic that has always rewarded hard work and perseverance.
What has gone wrong that my country needs this old war horse again?
The world’s fastest-growing political movement, disguised as a religion, has declared total war on mankind, yet decades of forced “political correctness” are now actually facilitating their attacks on my people. Reasonable police work to prevent them, called “profiling”, has been declared suddenly to be illegal. Known terrorists are ignored at airports and on military bases until they have engaged their weapons. Private citizens and local police are the only line of defense.
What has gone wrong that my country needs this old war horse again?
No matter. I’ll saddle up once again and charge to the sound of the enemy’s guns. Maybe I’ll find peace and security on the other side.

there will never be peace on earth, the best thing this country and people in it as well as all over the world is to put down arms and become part of global humanity, be listeners to what the other is saying not as americans or christians or anything like these things but as another human because the worst thing a human can do is to kill another human being for a belief or idology a nation ever. so toss your medals bcus you are just like everyone of us thank you for what you did as an operative for the country but is time all human beings to become humane again. and if this interesting to you feel free to email me.

Uh..yea..Steve-o seems to have gotten into mommies Koolaid again. (Troll alert) That humanist utopia crap never works out real well for the masses Stevie…go back to your history books.
Now that that’s out of the way….
We can use all the “ol’ warhorses” around here as possible and I thank you personally for joining. I thank you for a lifetime of dedicated service to this great nation of ours and am honored to know you are here.
Disregard Steve…he got some real “chronic” and has been the same since.

Old War Horse thank you for your service to our great nation. You are loyal because you found somethings in life that you love.God will bless you with peace. We have to fight for those things we love. I feel a deep regret for Steve because he has never found anything he loved or could be loyal to. Therefore God will spew him out his mouth. May God have mercy on all of us, including the slaves.

Thank you Old War Horse, I had those F-4’s working out over me in the Delta and even tho it wasn’t you I appreciate what you’ve done for all of us Americans.
Nom for you Steve, I hope someday you’re not huddled in some Gov’t housing wondering where your next meal is coming from and wishing you had listened to those of us who know what it’s really like to believe in something REAL not some wannabe make believe philosophy that has never worked. Even your probable hero Chairman Mao knew that political power ultimately comes from the barrel of a gun, but take heart we oath keepers will be here to protect your freedom and, as Americans to protect the freedom of ALL people wherever they may be.

I too want peace on earth but if I have to trade peace for being enslaved by the elitists then I will not trade peace for that…not now, not ever.

Yes Sir, as long as you breath you are needed.I love this site and the men who joined it. Gives me hope. people so need to be educated as to what the bottom line is. The bottom line is he who holds the biggest gun will prevaile, there will always be someone on this eath who wants it all, our way [the constitution] is the best and only way. Yes, we wnat peace, but as so many have said not at the price of losing our ability to defend ourselves, or follow the path we choose. thank you for your service.

I would like to first of all thank you for your service and thank you for being among those who have served our country proudly and sadly the older we get the fewer of us that will be around to share such stories of heroism and duty and loyalty. Hopefully there will be future generations that will heed the call and stand up and defend our Constitution, Country and our God given liberties. The government has never given us anything that it did not take from somewhere else. God bless.
