I recognize that our basic rights are handed down from God the Almighty
I took my oath in 1979 and spent 21 years in the Army. The first 3 in Berlin (6th Inf Regt.) and the last 17+ in Special Forces (10th Group and at the Special Warfare Center). I now don the uniform of a Confederate reenact-or and living historian to teach historical truths to our heritage (today’s youth). As a fundamental Christian I recognize that our basic rights are handed down from God the Almighty, as affirmed by our founding documents and our forefathers (Jefferson and Franklin included), and that without Him we cannot effectively govern ourselves. I have ever maintained that my oath was never rescinded and was forever binding and have been looking for like-minded individuals for quite a while. I had been reprimanded while in uniform for being too outspoken against the treasonous acts of Presidents and congress and for correcting those same individuals (my immediate superiors) to remember whom it was they served (the people and not the government). Patrick Henry (the greatest of the revolutionaries, and anti-federalist) and myself agree on all points of What the Republic is supposed to be.
“It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians: not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom to worship here”. Patrick Henry

Being a Christian, a Virginia native, and a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans, I greatly appreciate your photo and your testimony. Also, I concur completely with those thoughts expressed by you and Patrick Henry!
