I entered the Marine Corps and it was confirmed to me that our Constitution is the most sacred document
My family has defended our country and beginning in 1787 the Constitution, continuously since the Revolution and the tradition hasn’t stopped with me. Three of my six children have served and all of them except one are married to military personnel.
I first swore The Oath in 1973 when I entered the Marine Corps and immediately it was confirmed to me that our Constitution is the most sacred document we as a nation, possess. No other nation on earth has a document that so plainly and clearly states the rights and responsibilities of government to it’s citizens that has survived over 220 years.
It makes my heart ache to think that my childrens generation may be the last to enjoy the limited freedom we now have because those who have not sworn The Oath, or have forgotten the promises they made have become so corrupted by greed and complacency that they don’t see how close we are to losing every freedom my ancestors and my brothers and sisters in uniform have fought and died for.
I would rather lose my life in defense of our Constitution than to live a minute under the thumb of a tyrannical government and as God is my witness, I will not live on my knees while others who have sworn The Oath die on their feet to protect it.
Please donate and support Oath Keepers mission, every little bit helps!

I took my oath 10 years after you did. The Marine Corps instilled a love for God, Country and Corps in all of us. The importance of our oaths to the Constitution was impressed upon us. I can still hear the D.I. yelling “God, Country and Corps…IN THAT ORDER”. I often wonder if the Corp still emphasises the importance of every Marines role in defending the Constitution.

My feelings exactly. I can’t imagine not taking a stand here on our soil, I have an Army Staff Sgt son looking at deployment to Afghanistan.
