Retired NYC police officer and the future of this Country

nypd-shield In short, I was a NYC police officer at the time of the attack on the USA during 9/11/2001. I was assigned to the Bellvue morgue that day and many days after before retiring after 20 years of service to not only NYC but my state and country. sadly, this sate and country that i love have forgotten the lessons of that horrible day. instead, we now bow before other kings,queens,potentates,etc of other nations. I vow that during what life is left to me i will strive to rid this once great country of any and all enemies. unfortunately for all of us, that includes pretty much everyone from the president to our clueless governor. votes count people! this November let us fire another “shot heard around the world” by voting any and all of these folk out of office. they did it in jersey and Virginia, we can do it here and everywhere! 3 years from now, let’s get rid of the 2nd most ineffectual president in the modern age (jimmy carter being number one) and build this country back to where it was.

I weep for the future otherwise…

You are so correct. (I’m retired cop from upstate) When I saw that moron bow down to others it was enough to puke. The way I see it is, Here’s what he’s got to offer: Dishonor, cowardice, submission, shame, defeat, gloom, despair and hopelessness. If we all stick together we can fix the mess. I’m getting stickers made up for: FireCongress.org

Welcome, Bob, and thank you for your service! The cops of NYPD and the NYPA as well as the firefighters of FDNY are heroes to all of us – - your Department patches are all over the place across the country, to remind Americans about standing up under pressure.

I retired myself this year after 30 years (southern Cal). We have to help the younger kids on the job to understand what it was they swore to. They were educated after Clinton and even Carter, and many don’t know what its about.

Check out your state OK group for some friends who share your convictions. From sea to shining sea, we will NOT permit the destruction of the Constitution on OUR watch!

I want to thank all of you for your service to our beloved country. I come here at least once a week and read all the testimonies. In doing so, I don’t feel so alone. I have also shed many tears as you share your stories with us. My family spent 20 years in the AF, exwife of an Air Force Academy graduate. He flew B-52s and EB66 out of Guam and Thiland. Pulled two tours in Vietnam. He reitred early 80s. I miss my military family and the lifestyle we so much enjoyed. The military lifestyle can be a really small world. Right now I have three wonderful grandsons serving their beloved country. We are so very proud of them. Even though I am not a military wife any longer, I am very familiar with your oath. I am very proud to stand beside all of you and if called upon will do all I can. I found this video just yesterday and would like to close with it. The only change I would make is to have it apply to all of our elected officials and to repeat our motto of, “NOT ON OUR WATCH”. God Bless All Of You.

This site is dedicated to the memory of John William Adams (1925-2006), Marine and Oath Keeper extraordinaire.

John Adams, at the age of 16, lied about his age to join the Marines so he could fight against Imperial Japan in the Pacific. His enlistment date was December 10, 1941, just three days after the attack on Pearl Harbor (see below). As a Marine rifleman, he fought the Japanese from island to island, across the pacific, including at Iwo Jima. We may have good men, but we never had better.

Until his death in 2006, he was a dedicated patriot who still took his oath to defend the Republic deadly serious. May God grant you the courage to do likewise.

Stewart previously wrote the monthly Enemy at the Gates column for S.W.A.T. Magazine

Stewart graduated from Yale Law School in 2004, where his paper “Solving the Puzzle of Enemy Combatant Status” won Yale’s Miller prize for best paper on the Bill of Rights. He assisted teaching U.S. military history at Yale, was a Yale Research Scholar, and is writing a book on the dangers of applying the laws of war to the American people.
