God Bless the Oath Keepers

I served my country for 15 years minus a month, and served one year in Vietnam. I was 23-24 when I left to go with three children left behind. I was a Security Police and spent my time on the perimeter on a M-60 post and worked from dust to dawn 24-12. It was a day to relax (maybe) on a day off about every 2-3 months.
I experienced several attacks from the Viet-Cong.During one attack my post was approached by about 20 VC. I requested permission to fire and was told no. Permission to fire had to come from MacV headquarters and to my notion of thinking we would be overrun. I then reqested permission to pop a flare and again told no. I fired anyway and the flare only went so high and it came down in their midst. Their clothing caught fire and they shed their clothing and headed back into the darkness. I experienced several other attacks .
I was promoted to SSGt and was then on a mobil M-60 post. I served at a number of locations to include Korea, Little Rock AFB, Kincheloe AFB, Carswell AFB, one radar site and my first assignment was at a place called Caribou AFS which was with the Atomic Energy.I received a Top Secret clearance at that point. No I did not receive any better treatment. I am glad you created this site because the others (most of them) just want money. After the Christmas season I will make a donation. God Bless the Oath Keepers
Please donate and support Oath Keepers mission, every little bit helps!
