To the Oath Keepers:

marinesealFor several years I have been discouraged because the patriots have seemed to fade into the background as we carry on with our work and family obligations. I never expected to see our Republic crumble in my lifetime. Folks wiser then I have warned that we are slowly creeping into a culture abandoning the principles of our constitution.

I am now awake to the precipice we have come to stand on as a nation. I can no longer be silent when preposterous laws are proposed by elected leaders. I cannot trust that I have any representation in my government.

I am now aware of the domestic enemies declared in the oath I took as a young Marine. The pledge of my life, my fortune, and my sacred honor has been called back to active duty. I joined OK within minutes of happening to listen to Chris Mathews’ maniacal attempt to interview Stewart Rhodes. Matthews made an overt attack on principles I honor. Rhodes didn’t have to or need to reply for me to realize my brother is under attack and I must step up beside him.

Yesterday I decide to attend the first meeting of OK in central Ohio. I was encouraged in this meeting to meet law abiding like minded men who are willing to step up and affirm their oath to our constitution. Will I be placed on a “List?” I hope to God I’ll be counted as a defender of the constitution of the United States of America. I have relatives who have done much more for me.

Now is the time in history to step up to the line in the sand and affirm “NOT ON MY WATCH will the rights of our citizens be trampled!” The future generations of our families deserves my best.
