Arizona Gov. Candidate becomes Oath Keeper
I was first introduced to the Oath Keepers prior to their establishment and knew it was a honorable group that wants to uphold our Constitution. As a student and defender of the Constitution, it is only appropriate that I make my commitment personal and public.
Though the Oath Keepers is mainly focused on reaching out to military and law enforcement, citizen members have an unique place within this association. As citizens, we can ask our military and law enforcement to remember their oath.
Furthermore, as a candidate for public office, I have the ability to influence and remind other candidates, as well as public officials, to honor and defend the Constitution at all costs!
John Paul Mitchell
NOTE FROM STEWART: Oath Keepers does not, at this time, endorse candidates and the posting of the above testimonial does not constitute an endorsement. However, it truly is absolutely necessary that we all become fully involved in our communities, and that includes politics. You should not support or vote for any candidate who will not keep their oath, regardless of party. Supporting an oath breaker is a violation of your own oath. You should support only those who will keep their oath. That is fundamental and far more important than what party they are in. Support constitutionalists – those who understand and have a sincere devotion to following the Constitution.
And, if there are not sufficient honest, honorable constitutionalists running for election in your area, then you may have to step up and do it yourself, either by recruiting someone you know has integrity and encouraging them to run (the constitutionalists who does not want the office is oftentimes the best candidate) or by running yourself, as John is doing.
John, thank you for your testimonial and for your commitment to keeping your oath.
For liberty and the Republic,
Stewart Rhodes

Just what Arizona needs, another whackjob ideologue involved in our government. Not!

Welcome and good luck to you, sir! I truly hope that someone with integrity prevails in the next election.
As Stewart’s disclaimer points out, EVERY governor, senator, alderman, mayor, dog catcher and other official in the country SHOULD, by definition, be an OathKeeper.

I’m not from Arizona, but it’s comforting to know there are political candidates who truly are committed to upholding the Constitution, as opposed to Arizona’s left-wing ex-governor (and current US Homeland Security Director) Napolitano attempting to shred the Constitution by labeling veterans and conservative Christians as potential domestic terrorists, as these groups overwhelmingly oppose our President’s policies.
