A Citizens message to those contemplating joining Oath Keepers

Directed especially to those contemplating joining Oath Keepers…

I am not or have I ever been in the military nor law enforcement…however…I am truly an American citizen who has always believed in what our country stands for, what our founders intended…what my personal responsibility as a Legal United States of America citizen requires of me. Our United States of America constitution,Declaration of Rights and our American Flag are to be protected by all of us.

No matter our age, gender, health or service…we are at ‘The Crossroads’!

I’ve made my choice…if you are reading my testimonial right now…and have not yet made your choice to join Oath Keepers …

Think about it…educate yourself about current National events and Global events taking place right now…

Then act…before you may find yourself not allowed to make your own decisions!

I pray for us…for our country!

It is, after all, the CITIZENS that the Constitution protects, and why we defend it. Judging by your statements, you have also contributed with the kind of citizenship that the Founders had in mind – - this has always been a partnership!

I found out about oath keepers through a report on either drudge or some other non mainstream publication. I have told as many as I can about you and hope to be able to join soon. I am not a member or the military or any gov’t institution, but I can read between the lines and hear between the lines of the CRAP they try to feed the sheeple. I was greatly comforted when I saw I was not alone. Thank you for being who you are because part of who you are is who I am.

I am a mother, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, an ex-wife, a student, an employee, a VET! The Constitution enables me to be all these things, and I’ll be DARNED if I am going to let any of these rights be taken away from me. A fellow Vet and student told me about this organization and gave me the website. This website has resparked the flames of patriotism that caused me to enter into service at 18. At this time I make this promise to myself, my children, and all those who stand for what is right and just. I will do everything and anything, legally and morally necessary, to ensure the continuation of the greatest document ever written, aside from the Holy Bible: Our Constitution of the United States of America.

The American revolution should have never ended, we would not be at this cross – roads now. I have all the confidence we can take back our America and our rights. The only way to keep from looking tyranny in the eye is to bow to it. We will be victorious. When all has been done save to stand then stand. van.

Although I know this posting is going to be noted by some little bureaucratic weasel somewhere, I don’t really care…..the first ‘government’ official that comes to question me about ANY activity I may be associated with, will not wlak away under his/her own power……

Oath of Enlistment

I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

Site Dedication

This site is dedicated to the memory of John William Adams (1925-2006), Marine and Oath Keeper extraordinaire.

John Adams, at the age of 16, lied about his age to join the Marines so he could fight against Imperial Japan in the Pacific. His enlistment date was December 10, 1941, just three days after the attack on Pearl Harbor (see below). As a Marine rifleman, he fought the Japanese from island to island, across the pacific, including at Iwo Jima. We may have good men, but we never had better.

Until his death in 2006, he was a dedicated patriot who still took his oath to defend the Republic deadly serious. May God grant you the courage to do likewise.

Founder Stewart Rhodes

He is a former firearms instructor and former member of Rep. Ron Paul’s DC staff.

Stewart previously wrote the monthly Enemy at the Gates column for S.W.A.T. Magazine

Stewart graduated from Yale Law School in 2004, where his paper “Solving the Puzzle of Enemy Combatant Status” won Yale’s Miller prize for best paper on the Bill of Rights. He assisted teaching U.S. military history at Yale, was a Yale Research Scholar, and is writing a book on the dangers of applying the laws of war to the American people.
