Thank You to the ones I serve with now and the ones before me.

USMCI swore an oath to protect this country over two years ago , from both foreign and domestic. That is still the oath and forever always will be, that I live for and would gladly die for. But, even as a Lance Corporal in the Marine Corps. Infantry, I can see that there are somethings very wrong with our country today. I have seen the way of life in war torn countries, from my first tour in Iraq, and I’m more proud than ever to say I am an American. The way of life that our Fore-Fathers established for us has molded our Country to the wonderful Land that it is today. The blanket of freedom that we sleep under every night, the right for us to live and think and say as we feel. But, now that I have been in the military for even the small time that I have, that there are things going on in our political system, that are totally against what I and my brothers swore to defend. I want to see America restored in all of its former glory. I want to see my children grow in a land where the Constitution is held in its highest. I want the men who are governing over our Country to do the right thing. Thank you all who feel strongly as I do, and for all the service men and women, the ones I serve with now and the ones before me. SEMPER FI

I am my brothers keeper.

LCPL, I want to thankyou for your service and love of our Country! I too took an oath over 40 years ago to defend this Country and it’s Constitution… I may be an “Old Jarhead”, but I will live with my oath until the day I die! I believe your love of Country will give you the courage to defend our Liberty & Freedom for the rest of your life. God Bless You Marine! Semper Fi, Don

The Army grants the officer’s resignation under “other than honorable conditions.”

First Lt. Ehren Watada, the first commissioned military officer to refuse deployment to Iraq because he believed it was an illegal war, has won his three-year legal battle with the Army.

With little fanfare the Army at Fort Lewis, Wash., accepted the resignation of the 1996 Kalani High School graduate, and he will be discharged the first week in October.

Rather than seek a second court-martial against the artillery officer, the Army will grant Watada a discharge under “other than honorable conditions
