“The Constitution does not grant rights, it recognizes them.”

flag constitutionMay 22, 1972 was the day I swore my oath entering the U. S. Marine Corps. After serving four years, my discharge from active duty mentioned nowhere that my oath had expired. For me, it has never expired. For those who need to hear it;

“I, William E. Hall, do solemnly re-swear (or re-affirm) that I will continue to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help me God.”

A quote from a relatively unknown that I came across a while back really sets my views into concrete: “The Constitution does not grant rights, it recognizes them.”

I will fight any entity that will not recognize those rights… so help me God!
