A citizen’s message to Oath Keepers
My name is Daniel Smothers and I live in the Land of Lincoln.
I feel I don’t deserve the right to provide a testimonial to this site as, ashamedly I have never served the Military or any other Public Service. I have relatives whom have served and scores serving as I write these insignificant words.
I have long feared the direction of our Nation prodding us towards Socialism, and usurping the Constitution or at the very least ignoring it’s content and value.
After discovering Oath Keepers I feel a renewed sense of purpose and obligation to do what I can to open the eyes of Americans and deliver Oath Keepers’ message to as many people as possible.
With this forum, may I say you men and women have my profound gratitude for your Service which apparently has never ended for you. You are the heart & soul of what a Patriot really is and I thank you and ask God to continue to Bless all of you!
Your Servant,
Daniel Smothers
Please donate and support Oath Keepers mission, every little bit helps!

Hey Daniel,
Thank you for your support.
As for you never having served in the military or other public service…
Don’t sell yourself short.
The majority of the men and women who founded our Republic were civilians. They pledged their lives, their property, and their sacred honor to the cause of making America a haven of freedom and liberty.
You’ve followed in their footsteps by becoming an Oath Keeper.
Please Daniel, don’t ever think of yourself as ‘just a civilian’! Be proud of who you are and what you’re doing for our Nation.
We all have different callings. We all work together to do the right thing.
I, for one, am proud to be associated with you. You are an Oath Keeper.

Daniel
Not being in the military or any other service has nothing to do with believing in your Country and the document, The Constitution. You are an AMERICAN first and foremost and as an American believe in our Constitution in it’s fullness. God Bless you and God Bless this Great country called America. The only nation that IS , ONE NATION UNDER GOD. AMEN !

Daniel, Welcome! Don’t knock yourself, I’m a Marlton Mom and secretary with no military resume but I believe in my Constitution and in my country and military or not, I’m more than willing to stand with my fellow patriots and fight for what I believe in.
Thank you for joining us : )

Oathkeepers? Are we gonna be okay? I am terrified. I keep reading news articles everyday but there is NEVER anything good. It’s all about them taking more of our freedom away. You all that have served and ARE serving, YOU know we appreciate what you do. There is NO way I would be able to do what you do. You are GOD”S special ones. Pray for YOU and our country.I will do what I can. God bless all of you and Merry Christmas.

Daniel, the Oath Keeper’s pledge of alliegence to the Constitution and our country is in essence a reaffirmation of what is in their hearts. Their lifestyle is what they believe in and support, and what gives them their direction based on their depth of belief.
Being a military veteran or law enforcement officer is not a pre-requesite to membership. Your morales, committment to life, liberty, and justice for all, is.
That said, I commend you for wanting to be a pert of our organization! I will be proud to stand beside you.

First Lt. Ehren Watada, the first commissioned military officer to refuse deployment to Iraq because he believed it was an illegal war, has won his three-year legal battle with the Army.
With little fanfare the Army at Fort Lewis, Wash., accepted the resignation of the 1996 Kalani High School graduate, and he will be discharged the first week in October.
Rather than seek a second court-martial against the artillery officer, the Army will grant Watada a discharge under “other than honorable conditions.”
