I am proud and honored to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with you

ArmyLogoThe Korean “police action” was in the rear view mirror and we were still in an advisory capacity in SE Asia when I took the oath at the Army induction center in Louisville.

Having grown up in the shadow of a father and grandfather who were self-described “constitutional conservatives”, I enlisted out of a strong sense of duty and obligation to my country.

My service with the Army Security Agency during the darkest hours of the Cold War provided a window into the world of our adversaries that was revealing not only from a strategic military point-of-view, but also from the perspective of the “potential enemy’s” mindset.

When the Soviet empire collapsed under the unsustainable weight of the arms race, the thugs who ran the empire, and their operatives around the world, did not simply evaporate or convert to being capitalists. They shifted the battle ground.  It looks like their plan was to turn the tables on us through an insidious, massive and sustained attack on our economy.  They are close to succeeding.  Time is of the essence.

Reinstating government restrained by the Constitutional as it written is absolutely essential if we are to survive as a free and prosperous nation.

I am proud and honored to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with you in that battle.

(Vigilant Always)

We are the most vulnerable we’ve ever been. In the 1700’s our citizens knew what rights they had, what rights they sought, and what was standing in their way. Today, we don’t have that luxury. We take for granted that our Government will do the right thing, unlike the patriots of the 1700’s. We are complacent, we have seen the country win wars, free slaves, enable females to vote, and other things that has lulled us into the feeling that our Government will always take the high road and watch out for us. We are sleeping while our liberties are being taken away one by one. We, in law enforcement have seen and have actually taken part in violating our citizens’ rights in emergency situations and there are many of us that still don’t get the message or understand how egregious that was. Military officers are considered the “enemy” to politicians currently in power. Gun owners and enthusiasts are considered “nuts.” We are in a position to lose everything our forefathers fought for and for which they sacrificed everything. It is, for lack of a better term, time to “nut up” or “shut up” or we’ll be the ones that let our Constitutional Republic slip into a Banana Republic and history will judge us accordingly if that takes place.

Thanks Eddie. I’m just a civilian with her little kids and it is so breathtaking to hear someone want to defend us for a change instead of listening to endless accusations from politicians that I and the other citizens are the enemy just because they suspect we may not want to be slaves. You and I can’t be the enemy… We ARE the United States. I saw a speech President Obama was giving to children…He said “Ask what can you do for your President?” I noticed that the word “Country” was replaced by “President” (Dictator? King?) So now I am supposed to contemplate more ways to serve Obama? I thought the President was supposed to serve US. The people.
