I took my oath seriously

I joined The Guard in 1978 right before graduating high school. At the time I really wanted to do something to help this country and I also wanted to jump out of airplanes. The 36th division has a long history of service, and in getting to know some of the veterans there I felt the calling to keep their memories and experiences alive. This is how and why I serve now in our Veterans Association. I took my oath seriously and believe that the only way to keep faith with those who served before and after me is to to take a stand for The Constitution and for The America that I still believe in. Two weeks ago I attended the deployment ceremony for some of my “T” patcher brothers on their way to Iraq. The fight goes on! AIRBORNE all the way…
