I will continue to honor the Oath to support and defend the Constitution
I served in the US Navy from 1984-89 as an Air Traffic Controller. Technically, it was a non-combat era, yet this was truly the height of the Cold War under President Reagan. In addition to ATC, my duties consisted of Search and Rescue coordination, electronic monitoring of the many Russian “fishing trolleys” who frequently anchored off the coast of San Diego, and coordination of aircraft carrier training exercises.
I have for the last 20 years since my honorable discharge worked as a federal employee with the FAA, much of it as an ATC, but now in administration supporting technical services including communications, radar, and navigational equipment.
I also spent three years working for Clayton County, GA 911 as a PD/SO/Fire/EMT dispatcher.
All told, I’ve taken the Oath three times.
In the event of an “emergency” I suppose the possibility exists that some bureaucrat somewhere may attempt to issue unlawful orders in regards to our airports and the aviation system. That being said, I may not be put in the exact same position as a police officer or soldier but, as a federal employee, I will not obey any unlawful order or directive that ultimately seeks to infringe on the rights of the People.
I am also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and have two Patriot ancestors. My 5th great grandfather, William Isaac Cotanch, served from 1776 to 1782 as a 2nd Lt in the 3rd NJ Regiment and then as a Capt. in the NJ Militia until 1784. Another 5th great grandfather, Thomas Eastman of Bridgewater, NH, served alongside his brother in the Battle of Bunker Hill in 1775. In my years of genealogy research, focusing mainly on families of the Revolutionary era, I have developed a deep respect for the great history of of our nation. Learning the stories of these actual people and their families who truly did give their lives, their fortune, and their sacred honor inspires me to ask myself what I am willing to do for Liberty. My answer: Whatever I must.
So, I will continue to honor the Oath to support and defend the Constitution and I will support others who will do the same. I am armed and supplied and willing to assist all other Oath Keepers in whatever way I may.
Please donate and support Oath Keepers mission, every little bit helps!

Welcome aboard!
I have some cousins who owned the farm/tavern near Paul Revers’s capture site, not far from Lexington. The wife continued to spread the alarm, bridging the gap.
Thank you for your service, and that of your family! Make sure you check out your state/local group for friends.

Thank you for honoring your oath! I agree reading about the Founders lives and sacrifices is eye opening and humbling. I dont want to meet them in heaven and be asked why we didnt try a little harder to keep what they fought to protect. Thank you for joining Oath Keepers.
