Active sworn officer “glad to see an organization like Oath Keepers”

flagi am currently an active sworn officer serving at a municipal police department in Alabama.  I love my country dearly and am saddened by the current state that it is in.  I am glad to see an organization like Oath Keepers.

I have already talked to a few other officers who told me that they would like what they heard and promised they would look into Oath Keepers for themselves.

To me it’s a no brainer.  I took an oath as a police officer.  I made a promise (gave my word, or how ever you want to say it).  That means something.  Often today a promise means less that the breath that gave it or the paper that it was written on.  That is not how I was raised.  My dad was a vet (served in Korea) and lucky for me, he taught me what it means to be an American and a Patriot.

Anyway that I can help out, I will.  I work at a agency right now that I am unsure how they would react towards me if they found out I was an Oath Keeper, so for now its….

    Welcome, Brother!
I recently retired after 30 years and a heart attack. I agree, some of the “kids” on our shifts will not understand, but it’s up to us to try and bring them up to speed. Remember, most of the younger cops (the “romper room patrol”) had to go through school post-Carter or even post-Clinton. If you start with my favorite argument you should do okay:
You interpret laws all day, every day – - can you tell the difference between “taking a gun from a crook” and “disarming the American People”? If so, you already have the basic idea. If not, consider brick-laying or auto repairs as careers.

Anyway, thanks for your service and commitment. You make us stronger with your presence. Stay safe! Check for your local/state group – - you may be surprised!

It does not seem just that a Constitutionalist feels the need to remain anonymous. Is it not a sign of our times? Thank you for being a light in the darkness, thank you for joining us.

    Nos Vado Una!,

Thank you! Thank you for joining and spreading the word. I look forward to a day when constitutionalist is once again regarded as an honorable label. That you are signing up while currently serving is selfless, thank you for not only protecting the citizens from harm but also our constitution. Words dont explain how much I appreciate you. Thank you
