Oath Keepers Featured in CNN Report

David Codrea – Gun Rights Examiner

CNN has jumped on the Oath Keepers-smearing bandwagon

An anti-Obama group is recruiting members from the military and law enforcement. CNN’s Jim Acosta reports.

That’s quite an assumption there. Both in their characterization of the group and in what they say Acosta is doing.

Their purpose is not to be anti-Obama. It is to uphold their oath to the Constitution. When Obama upholds his, Oath Keepers will be behind him.

Founder Stewart Rhodes gets some on-camera face time, and naturally the subject of guns comes up.

Acosta seems incredulous when he asks Rhodes who is talking about taking guns away.

The administration and their congressional allies are talking about it, and what’s more, they are doing things to incrementally erode our right to keep and bear arms.

Mr. Acosta, you didn’t hear Eric Holder call for a new ban on semiautomatic firearms as a solution to Mexican drug violence? Yeah, I know politically he was forced to back off of that–for now–but you don’t think that’s because he wanted to, do you?

You never investigated the “urban policy” page on the official White House website where they confirm this is one of their goals, along with what they call “closing the gun show loophole,” that is, ending private sales? Too late now, they’ve removed that from their site–but you people have the capability to verify it was there–and on the Obama presidential campaign site before that.

NONE of these “programs” are DEAD Craig…any “program” that was in use years ago has been MORPHED into a different name but with the SAME goal and your description of Ft Bragg is the SAME as it is on literally ALL bases that have first line combat units assigned…the “goal” of these previous programs has been ACHIEVED for the most part and your commentary IS what the GOAL has ALWAYS been..to DESTROY the U.S. Military/National Guard as the threat it has always been to the NWO crowd….the PAST problems with military recruitment has been largely “resolved” now that the UNEMPLOYMENT situation is so bad in the U.S. (and getting WORSE by the hour) that “joining” the ARMY,et al–has become a “viable alternative” to not having a roof over a man’s/woman’s head or not having food on the table…have you seen the NEW ARMY “recruitment” FUN/ENTERTAINMENT centers that are now springing up in the MALLS across America ?

The “partnership for peace” program has been dead for a few years now. Ended about when we invaded Iraq and started depleting our guard and reserve forces. The active military now is so worn out and depleted that the recruiting standards are being lowered so that recruiters can waive felony convictions. This happened during Vietnam as well, when felons were given “the choice” by the judge to go to prison or enlist in the Marines. They knew that meant infantry, in Vietnam. Many chose prison instead.

Retention in the Army is so dismal that no one has any ideas on how to refill attrition. Even in the special forces and special ops arenas, student applications are less than half of what they had been prior to 2005.

I was on the phone to a buddy at Bragg yesterday and I can’t even describe how bad the conditions are and how many people are not reenlisting due to multiple deployments. They had 6 suicides last month alone!

The old survey(s) no longer hold water. Most of the guys who were in then are civilians now.

well here is the RESULTS of that “survey” given not ONLY at Twenty Nine Palms–but ALL bases where any type of “SPECIAL FORCES” or “FIRST STRIKE” combat units were based, this included not only Marines but SEAL TEAMS,RANGERS,GREEN BERETS,DELTA FORCE,select AIRBORNE units,USAF AIR COMMANDOS…approximately 80 % FLAT STATED–NO !…approximately 5-10 % gave MAYBE…and the remaining 10 % answered in the AFFIRMATIVE….those who said YES were IMMEDIATELY re-assigned into “certain training units” for “further training” (read MKULTRA PROGRAMMING of the DELTA kind)…personnel from these units were/are used in the PENTAGON funded program known as the NATIONAL GUARD STATE PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM which came into being in 1993…also known as PARTNERSHIP FOR PEACE…this “program” partners State National Guard units with the military forces of other countries–at this time there are now 43 States Guard units cross trained with military units of 50 countries…one of the main bases if not THE main base used for these cross training “excercises” is CAMP GUERNSEY in S/E Wyoming…I have spoken to several people who have seen LARGE contingents of FOREIGN troops at this base and this included troops from The PEOPLES LIBERATION ARMY…that’s CHINESE folks….RUSSIAN units also seen at Camp Guernsey…the 10 % AFFIRMATIVE “personnel” also went into FEMA units and are also now firmly imbedded in “regular” combat units of all military branches with MUCH combat experience in IRAQ/AFGHANISTAN and those units are under the control of NORTHERN COMMAND headquartered in Colorado Springs…NORTHCOM is the “military teeth” of HOMELAND SECURITY….now there is an initial particular unit of approximately 6,000 troops that has been re-assigned directly from Iraq and under the control of NORTHCOM with the mandate to “patrol the streets of U.S. cities when and where needed”…..so much for POSSE COMITATUS…

The results of this old survey scared the Commie Klintons to death. The vast majority of Marines, especially seasoned vets, said NO. They would not shoot at US citizens. This is one of the deciding factors to utilize foreign troops “to police our streets in case of national emergency.”

That plan is still on the shelf and ready. When the balloon goes up here, expect blue helmets to appear.

The timing on this “survey” is certainly much MORE than just “suspicious”…..this “survey” comes exactly ONE WEEK after COMMUNIST TRAITOR–Bill Clinton–signed PRESIDENTIAL DECISION DIRECTIVE 25,…known more as PDD-25…on May 3,1994….PDD-25..which is IMPOSSIBLE to get a complete copy of this ILLEGAL order..turns over the TOTAL CONTROL of the United States Military…ALL the U.S. Military…to the UNITED NATIONS. It is this FACT that the well known member of the U.S. Army in Germany,Michael New,REFUSED to wear UN BLUE and REFUSED to obey ILLEGAL ORDERS given by UN commanders. Of course,Michael New was court martialed by the COMPLICIT TRAITOROUS OFFICERS who are in total LOCK STEP with this OUTRAGEOUS threat to the UNITED STATES and all it’s Citizens.

    Date 30-Jul-94 17:51
The following COMBAT ARMS SURVEY was sent to Geoff Metcalf by a U.S. Marine, with a (non-anonymous) note explaining that the survey was given May 10, 1994, at the Twenty-nine Palms (CA) Marine base, to a number of Marines from different units which had participated in either: Operation “Just Cause,” “Desert Storm” or “Restore Hope.”
The July 11 New American (”Police State Update”, p. 10), discusses a telephone interview with the marine, who said that he was not aware of similar surveys being administered at other bases and that his impression was that the survey was research for a [Navy] commander’s master’s degree.
The marine also reported an article in the base’s weekly newspaper, documenting a March ‘94 “high-profile tour” of the Twenty-nine Palms base by a delegation from the Council on Foreign Relations.
The following survey questions, except for the last one, were not reprinted in the July 11 New American article. They were forwarded by the magazine to the New Jersey Conservative PAC (NJCPAC, 2 Thornton Lane, Piscataway NJ 08854-5044 ph/fx:908-463-0797), which also reports that preliminary fact-finding at the base indicates that the “surveys came through the chain of command.” The questions are reproduced here with NJCPAC’s permission.
NJCPAC asks that anyone who knows of other administrations of this or similar COMBAT ARMS SURVEY(s) pls contact them or Congressmen Bob Dornan (ph:202-225-2965) or Duncan Miller (ph:202-225-5672 fx:202-225-0235).

    Environmental disaster clean-up
    Peace keeping
Nation building (Reconstruct civil government, develop public school system, develop or improve public transportation system, etc.
Humanitarian relief (e.g. food and medical supplies, temporary housing, and clothing)
Police Action (e.g. Korea, Vietnam, but serving under non-U.S. officers)
    Consider the following statements:
The U.S. runs a field training exercise. U.N. combat troops should be allowed to serve in U.S. combat units during these exercises under U.S. command and control.
The United Nations runs a field training exercise. U.S. combat troops under U.S. command and control should serve in U.N. combat units during these exercises.
The United Nations runs a field training exercise. U.S. combat troops should serve under U.N. command and control during these exercises.
U.S. combat troops should participate in U.N. missions as long as the U.S. has full command and control.
U.S. combat troops should participate in U.N. missions under United Nations command and control.
U.S. combat troops should be commanded by U.N. officers and noncommissioned officers (NCOs) at battalion and company levels while performing U.N. missions.
It would make no difference to me to have U.N. soldiers as members of my team. (e.g. fire team, squad, platoon)
It would make no difference to me to take orders from a U.N. company commander.
I feel the President of the United States has the authority to pass his responsibilities as Commander-in-Chief to the U.N. Secretary General.
I feel there is no conflict between my oath of office and serving as a U.N. soldier.
I feel my unit’s combat effectiveness would not be affected by performing humanitarian missions for the United Nations.
I feel a designated unit of U.S. combat soldiers should be permanently assigned to the command and control of the United Nations.
I would be willing to volunteer for assignment to a U.S. combat unit under a U.N. commander.
I would like U.N. member countries, including the U.S., to give the U.N. all the soldiers necessary to maintain world peace.
I would swear to the following code: “I am a United Nations fighting person. I serve in the forces which maintain world peace and every nation’s way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.”
The U.S. government declares a ban on the possession, sale transportation, and transfer of all non-sporting firearms. A thirty (30) day amnesty period is permitted for these firearms to be turned over to the local authorities. At the end of this period, a number of citizen groups refuse to turn over their firearms. Consider the following statement: I would fire upon U.S. citizens who refuse or resist confiscation of firearms banned by the U.S. government.

Notes Home All Notes The Patriotic Resistance and Our Founding FathersAdded by ADMIN on April 21, 2009 at 5:05pm

Government exists for the interests of the governed, not for the governors. The purpose of government is to enable the people of a nation to live in relative safety and happiness. Benjamin Franklin once wrote,“In free governments the rulers are the servants and the people are their superiors and sovereigns.” The people hold the ultimate powers in a free society and the people should exercise those powers directly or through representatives in a competent and practical manner.

As Americans, we don’t honor the government, we honor our nation. Our Patriotic Resistance doesn’t want America to fail; we want the bankrupt liberal and Statist ideologies to fail. As members of the Patriotic Resistance we resist liberalism, we resist socialism, we resist collectivism.

Below, you will find examples of what these Founders said about Resistance:

    Thomas Jefferson
    Samuel Adams
    Benjamin Franklin
    John Locke
    James Madison

    ——————————————————————————–

    Thomas Jefferson

“Resistance to tyrants is obedience to God” — Found among his papers after death.

“What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them.” –Thomas Jefferson to William Stephens Smith, 1787. ME 6:373, Papers 12:356

“Governments, wherein the will of every one has a just influence… has its evils,… the principal of which is the turbulence to which it is subject. But weigh this against the oppressions of monarchy, and it becomes nothing. Malo periculosam libertatem quam quietam servitutem. [I prefer the tumult of liberty to the quiet of servitude.] Even this evil is productive of good. It prevents the degeneracy of government, and nourishes a general attention to the public affairs.” –Thomas Jefferson to James Madison, 1787. ME 6:64

“The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it to be always kept alive. It will often be exercised when wrong, but better so than not to be exercised at all. I like a little rebellion now and then. It is like a storm in the atmosphere.” –Thomas Jefferson to Abigail Adams, 1787.

“God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion… We have had thirteen States independent for eleven years. There has been one rebellion. That comes to one rebellion in a century and a half, for each State. What country before ever existed a century and a half without a rebellion?” –Thomas Jefferson to William S. Smith, 1787. ME 6:372

“Most codes extend their definitions of treason to acts not really against one’s country. They do not distinguish between acts against the government, and acts against the oppressions of the government. The latter are virtues, yet have furnished more victims to the executioner than the former, because real treasons are rare; oppressions frequent. The unsuccessful strugglers against tyranny have been the chief martyrs of treason laws in all countries.” –Thomas Jefferson: Report on Spanish Convention, 1792.

“If our country, when pressed with wrongs at the point of the bayonet, had been governed by its heads instead of its hearts, where should we have been now? Hanging on a gallows as high as Haman’s.” –Thomas Jefferson to Maria Cosway, 1786. ME 5:444

“The commotions that have taken place in America, as far as they are yet known to me, offer nothing threatening. They are a proof that the people have liberty enough, and I could not wish them less than they have. If the happiness of the mass of the people can be secured at the expense of a little tempest now and then, or even of a little blood, it will be a precious purchase. ‘Malo libertatem periculosam quam quietem servitutem.’ Let common sense and common honesty have fair play, and they will soon set things to rights.” –Thomas Jefferson to Ezra Stiles, 1786. ME 6:25

“The tumults in America I expected would have produced in Europe an unfavorable opinion of our political state. But it has not. On the contrary, the small effect of these tumults seems to have given more confidence in the firmness of our governments. The interposition of the people themselves on the side of government has had a great effect on the opinion here [in Europe].” –Thomas Jefferson to Edward Carrington, 1787. ME 6:57

“The late rebellion in Massachusetts has given more alarm than I think it should have done. Calculate that one rebellion in thirteen states in the course of eleven years, is but one for each state in a century and a half. No country should be so long without one. Nor will any degree of power in the hands of government prevent insurrections.” –Thomas Jefferson to James Madison, 1787. ME 6:391

“[An occasional insurrection] will not weigh against the inconveniences of a government of force, such as are monarchies and aristocracies.” –Thomas Jefferson to T. B. Hollis, July 2, 1787. (*) ME 6:155

“Cherish… the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. Do not be too severe upon their errors, but reclaim them by enlightening them.” –Thomas Jefferson to Edward Carrington, 1787. ME 6:58

    ——————————————————————————–
    Samuel Adams
    “The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards;
and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.” (Here)

    ——————————————————————————–

    Benjamin Franklin
“It is the first responsibility of every citizen to question authority.” (here)

    ——————————————————————————–

    John Locke
Any single man must judge for himself whether circumstances warrant obedience or resistance to the commands of the civil magistrate; we are all qualified, entitled, and morally obliged to evaluate the conduct of our rulers. This political judgment, moreover, is not simply or primarily a right, but like self-preservation, a duty to God. As such it is a judgment that men cannot part with according to the God of Nature. It is the first and foremost of our inalienable rights without which we can preserve no other. (here)

    ——————————————————————————–

    James Madison
“It is proper to take alarm at the first experiment on our liberties. We hold this prudent jealousy to be the first duty of citizens, and one of the noblest characteristics of the late Revolution. The freeman of America did not wait till usurped power had strengthened itself by exercise, and entangled the question in precedents.
They saw all the consequences in the principle, and they avoided the consequences by denying the principle.” (Here)

“(T)he people have an indubitable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to reform or change their government whenever it be found adverse or inadequate to the purpose of its institution.” (here)

One Million people singing, to free their nation.
Well in Estonia between 1987 and 1991, Estonians sought to free themselves from decades of Soviet occupation. During those years, hundreds of thousands gathered in public to sing forbidden patriotic songs and to rally for independence. That´s it….

    Kenny Moore Says:

I don’t think Steward Rhodes is planting any seeds in out minds. OathKeepers is about protecting and defending the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic, so help me God.
It is pretty clear we want to protect the Republic
I don’t think we believe as a whole martial law is being imposed. We are NOT radicals, or extremists at all, just patroits with a God given hheartfelt passion to defend the Republic as our founders thought this nation should be.

I find it very troubling that Stewart Rhodes denied the existence of FEMA detention camps…WTF is that?!

    Randall Covey Says:

You have to give it to ‘em… they are very slick.

I will not touch on proof necessary for our actions, nor why I personally believe the Oath Keepers is itself necessary as others above have already done so.
I will merely refer you to KGB defectors who spoke on the subject of subversion, prophetically, 20+ years ago. (Google it) Anyone with a clear mind can deduce from there.

So, CNN has lost it’s way… we already knew that.
