I swore to uphold and protect for the rest of my life.
I took the oath when I enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1983. Coming from a family with a military background, my only thought at the time was keeping the tradition going.
I realized the enormity of my decision soon after. I hold the oath close to my heart, as dear and true to my beliefs in defending freedom and liberty for my self, family and all Americans at home and abroad. The oath does not leave you when you leave the service. I swore to uphold and protect for the rest of my life. I am proud to become a member of oath keepers, let’s all hope and pray we will never have to “stand down”.

Some say you are not bound to the oath upon your discharge. I too disagree with that. Welcome brother.
