I Still Get Goose Bumps Whenever I Hear That Oath Recited
The first time I raised my right hand and swore to my Oath was in February, 1970. I was a starry-eyed 17 year old Marine Corps recruit. I can still remember the goose bumps I got while I was listening to what I was swearing to protect and defend. I took that Oath very seriously, to the depths of my being.
Over the last four decades, I’ve sworn to that same Oath seven times during my two enlistments in the Marine Corps, enlistments in the North Carolina and Ohio National Guard, and twice as a Police Officer. I’m currently an active duty Police Officer in northeast Ohio.
Now, I’m 57 years old, not quite so starry-eyed anymore, but I STILL get those same goose bumps whenever I hear that Oath recited. I STILL feel it in the depths of my being.
Over those same four decades, I’ve watched as our Constitution has been disregarded, ridiculed, bypassed, and downright ignored by our Federal Government while they’ve been systematically slicing away at the rights and liberties of my fellow countrymen.
And, you know what?
I’m about TIRED of it.
It’s time to do something about it.
It’s time for us to stand up and be counted.
In the words of Gunny R. Lee Ermey, when he portrayed Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in the film “Full Metal Jacket”…
“SOUND OFF LIKE YOU GOT A PAIR!”
I’m ready.
Eddie R. Gilbert

Welcome aboard. It will be the Oath Keepers who will pass the word and recruit new members that are willing to stand up and sound off that will make a differance. We must get the silent majority involved. That is the only way we will take our country back from the eliet in DC.
God bless the Republic and Oath Keepers.
It’s great to have you here in Oathkeepers. Thank you for your long and now continued service! I’m tired of all the garbage too and glad we can work together to end it.
Thank you for your service!
Glad to have you with us!

I would just like to say that i am an Ohioan residing in Lake County and i see and feel the same as you had said of our sacred cherished Bill of Rights and Constitution being dismantled at every angle in our daily communities. I want to thank you so much that you actually take your sworn oath seriously and i would give anything to reach out to others in our communities and law enforcement to know what that means and to uphold and defend our Constitution they swore an oath to, the whole purpose of their jobs in the first place.
I hope somehow you can also help us out here reach out to fellow law enforcement and i hope to get Sheriff Richard Mack out here to speak sometime in helping us save our communities in this time of dire need and the crisis we are in today. It is utmost important now more than ever we stand together and defend our Constitution.
Thank You again so much for being on our side and God Bless you and our Constitutional Republic that once again i pray we are successful in restoring to its fullest.
i am a patriot and will defend the constution too the death
I’ve mentioned this before but feel the need to post it again. Although I’m not in the USA, I have close relatives living there and my partner is from the US. I have had 20 years law enforcement experience and I want to add my support to your efforts in fighting for freedom. The seat of the NWO is in the US. But this is a global effort and the US is at the forefront. So although you are fighting for your freedom and your constitution, you are actually standing up for the freedom of all people everywhere. What is happening in the USA is occurring throughout the world, albeit not so obviously. It takes courage to stand up against tyranny, especially when so many of your fellow citizens are still hoodwinked and believe you to be virtually terrorists. As many of you know, the method the NWO use to further their aims, is to create enough fear, that the public call (nay scream) for the very things they want to implement. I suspect we will see events shortly taking place intended to have people voluntarily queuing up to take the millions of vaccines ordered by the Federal Government. I am watching with interest the developments in the USA and I pray that truth, love and peace prevail. It’s been said before on this site and elsewhere but it can’t be repeated enough at this hour “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” — Edmund Burke (1729-1797)
Welcome aboard, Marine! We must have served our God, Country, and Corps during the same time!
Now, get on mission!

I too am a Marine, female, have taken this oath only once, but I feel we have more enemies here than we do overseas. But the lack of help to our fellows in Afganistan makes me want to shake that alleged president, he should send help now, now after his golf game. Thank all for their service to this great nation, I just hope we will be able to be a nation in 2010. Time has only made this worse, legal not helping now with the activist judges and the only hope I can see are the people who are dissenting. Semper Fi
My sentiments exactly. If any fellow American is a part of ANY organization – this one unifies us all.
Our Supreme Law that gives us the rights we love everyday of our lives in the US. Brothers & sisters, & to all fellow Americans – stand with us as many have. Our mission is beautiful within its simplicity – our Freedom! Let us not allow each others’ coat tails too heavy to bear alone.
I thank you all from the depths of my soul for your service & support.
The chills remain & the tears well up in me every time I pledge during the Star Spangled Banner. Goosebumps and pride is an extreme understatement.
God’s blessings to all.
