Current Serving Police Officer Sounds Off
I am so glad to have found this organization. I trust we stick together and I am confident most freedom-loving citizens of our country will support us.
“It is the duty of the patriot to protect his country from its government.”
Thomas Paine
Paul Balmer
Chief Master-At-Arms, USN
Police Officer, Clearwater, FL Police Dept.
NOTE: Officer Balmer’s statement was first posted as a comment on our Declaration of Orders We Will Not Obey. Thank you for stepping up officer Balmer. You are a fitting example of the credo, “Not on my watch,” which is a statement Navy personnel in particular know very well.
For the Republic,
Stewart Rhodes

Glad to be in the same outfit with you Chief. There are more of us than they want to think about. The Constitution is and always will be the supreme law of this land. “The citizens of this nation were the ones who ratified the Constitution and we don’t need someone in a black robe to interpret it for us.” That is from Paul Curtman, the Marine veteran who confronted Sen. Claire McCaskill and now is running for a state representative seat in Missouri. Thank God for some of the younger veterans that are stepping up.

I come to the Oath Keepers site frequently to read the testimonials. Though I seldom post a comment, I am truly grateful to each and every one of you. Officer Balmer, I am especially uplifted by reading your post; there are so many negative posts/videos online portraying police brutality. I have frequently stated that I believe this brutality is practiced by a very few bad apples, not the majority. I’m an older lady who grew up in an era when police officers were truly there ‘to serve and protect’. Every post by officers such as yourself dispels the myth that “all cops are bad”, especially in light of the recent G-20 Summit fiasco. You have my utmost respect, Sir.

As a 62 year old Vet.
I am ashamed of the path my Country has been following.
Where is the Constitution being followed?
The grown ups have failed at doing their jobs.
As I see kids growing up with no respect for flag or Country. To them, it’s all a free ride.
The Country is in a mess. The schools are so screw up. Kids don’t care about being patriotic citizen.
This Country was founded under one God. We took our oaths to God.
We say The Pledge of Allegiance to the flag, with one nation under God.
Our solders did not die in gang fights. They died for freedom. It was not a race thing, it was not for greed.
It was to have a elected Government. voted in for the people, and by the people to serve the people.

It’s refreshing to find a group of patriots who actually have the “cajones” to take an active part in trying to protect citizens from the encroaching piecemeal deprivation of our constitutional rights by those in high places.
I served in the USAF Security Service from 1959-1966, took my oath proudly, and seriously.
Just as I swore an oath to my wife 47 years ago, until death do us part, my oath to defend the constitution is, likewise, irrevocable.
I, like many others, am a descendant of brave folks who, with a burning desire for liberty, perilously fled from a totalitarian regime to “America, The Beautiful”.
I’ll be damned if I will stand by and let anyone or any government take away these precious freedoms that my grandparents risked their lives to pursue.
I printed up a batch of the “business cards” and will be handing them out to all of the LEO’s, firefighters and veterans I come in contact with.
Peace, brother, and always fight the good fight!!
