Active Duty Serviceman Gives His Promise to the American People

I’m on active duty, and I do not need to be reminded of my oath.

I took it of sound mind and without reservation. I fully understand what it may entail. The domestic enemies of the United States will never be its people. It is infinitely more likely that it will be its government, since only powerful institutions and the government itself have a vested interest in attacking, perverting, and circumventing the U.S. Constitution.

No unconstitutional order shall be obeyed by myself or those under my authority as long as I am able to resist. I’m confident that the U.S. Military is full of individuals similar in mind and resolve as myself.

We are the Armed Forces of the Republic, and not a tool for oppression.

I can only offer the American people this solemn promise: I would die before I become their enemy.

Welcome Soldier! Many of us who have reaffirmed our oath are former military and LEO and it is so very encouraging to hear from active duty personnel that the word is spreading. We pray to GOD that our great Nation be healed and that the numbers of the “like-minded” are never tested, but this former Marine for one believe’s that should the numbers ever be tested, the enemies to our constitution will be shocked and the rest of us amazed and proud as hell of all of YOU!

Thanks for the heartfelt testamonial. We are thankful our active duty brothers abd sisters are hearing our message. I am not surprised that you understand and support the simple message, however. Thanks for your service to the people of the Republic.

Our military and law enforcement are the first line of defense against tyranny, both foreign…and domestic. Thier responsiblity is to protect our country and it’s citizens, and not to serve the perverted interests of any political factions.

As a civilian of This Republic, please accept my “Thank You” to all current and former service personnel and LEO for your sacrifice. I have been deeply grieved at what has been going on in our land, fearing the worst from our government! It is with a grateful heart I give thanks to each of you for your oath, not of tyranny but of loyalty.

Thank you Sir. The government here in Massachusetts laughs at our Constitution! Even after the Supreme Court reaffirmed the 2nd Amendment is an individual Right, the interim senator replacing Ted Kennedy claims it is not! If you may be so kind, please inform the Soldiers from Massachusetts to inform their families of the dire situation here. Most people here are disarmed and seem too WANT world government. Constitutionalists are considered terrorists here and it is very disheartening. Thank you for your commitment to We The People.

Oath of Enlistment

I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

Site Dedication

This site is dedicated to the memory of John William Adams (1925-2006), Marine and Oath Keeper extraordinaire.

John Adams, at the age of 16, lied about his age to join the Marines so he could fight against Imperial Japan in the Pacific. His enlistment date was December 10, 1941, just three days after the attack on Pearl Harbor (see below). As a Marine rifleman, he fought the Japanese from island to island, across the pacific, including at Iwo Jima. We may have good men, but we never had better.

Until his death in 2006, he was a dedicated patriot who still took his oath to defend the Republic deadly serious. May God grant you the courage to do likewise.

Founder Stewart Rhodes

He is a former firearms instructor and former member of Rep. Ron Paul’s DC staff.

Stewart previously wrote the monthly Enemy at the Gates column for S.W.A.T. Magazine

Stewart graduated from Yale Law School in 2004, where his paper “Solving the Puzzle of Enemy Combatant Status” won Yale’s Miller prize for best paper on the Bill of Rights. He assisted teaching U.S. military history at Yale, was a Yale Research Scholar, and is writing a book on the dangers of applying the laws of war to the American people.
