I’m Getting Involved to Take My Country Back
I took my Oath in June of 1988. America was the beacon President Reagan said it could be an it was O.K. to be proud to be an American. During my five years on active duty, I saw my country stand up to aggression in the Middle East with no imperial claims, aid a world with each natural disaster, then turn it’s back on patriotism an fall into a swamp of Political Correctness.
I then witnessed an American President turn his back on the American military, squander the prestige of the previous decade and turn the White House into a frat house. All the while attempting to socially engineer the ranks, disarm the American citizenry and socialize vast segments of the economy.
Then, on September 11, 2001, I watched as my world view was confirmed on live TV. The American President identified evil and put the world on notice that America will not be a victim. For a time the nation stood united as we sought to destroy any threat before it came to fruition.
Unfortunately, I knew this would not last and the partisan bickering would return as the American public lost the stomach to do what needed to be done to achieve victory. While I took issue with many policies, I supported the President and commend his resolve to stand by his principles.
And now my country has become almost unrecognizable and I am witnessing things I never thought I would see in the United States of America. I have always been an outspoken and unapologetic patriot, but find that words are not enough and it is now time for action.
Oath Keepers has allowed me to publicly reaffirm my Oath and get involved to take back my country.
I really dont think this is a left right problem america is facing. Our main problem comes from people being suckered into believing that one party has more interest in preserving freedom than the other. when nothing could be furthur from the truth.Both dem and rep. party’s are responsable for signing assault weapons ban’s and both party’s voted for that abomination to freedom the patriot act.Our current problems began long before reagen / bush and are still continuing today.If we want our country back it has to begin with the eviction of K street. Flatten every house there and build a dog park or something in it’s place. Then we can begin dealing with the other threat to freedom . the inteligence agency’s that keep claiming they are doing thing’s in secret to protect the americam way of life and national security.NO NATION can be secure by keeping secrets from it’s people. we are supposed to be the govt. the people are the ones who should decide if we want branchs of the govt opertaing in secret w/o public oversight I feel like we may stil have a chance at saving this country if we can start working together agianst the real enemy’s of freedom lobbyist’s and any inteligence agency that operates with out public oversight. If we can stop fighting over abortion rights illeagal immagration praying in schools etc. these things have been used to divde us and keep us fighting each other instead of the govt.we have to put aside our personel differances about moral issue’s for now and concentrate on making our elected officials stick strickly to the letter of the constitution . and by all means repealing the patriot act once and for all.
I agree 100% and our “change” needs to begin at our State Government level. The Fed’s cannot burden us with anything as long as our State representatives repeal Federal Government intervention. Divide and conquer is what the Fed game is all about.

Marine warrior you make a good point. And I think a good place to start is with H.B.45 I am sure that most oath keepers are aware of this already and have taken time to contact their senator’s and congressmen but for any one who is not aware of it please read the bill then write your rep’s today and let them know how you feel about this flat out infringement on the 2cnd amendment.I think they know they cant get it all through as written but would be happy if they just get even part of it passed.

Now that you’re with us, we are just a little bit stronger. And others are willing to stand; at least a few on each side of the aisle. The truth is, there are more that want to defend the Constitution – though they might not put it that way – than the destroyers know about.

What can civilians do? I feel that communication will be shut off to us,… not sure what will happen.
