This oath that we swore does not have an expiration date included
I took my oath in 1995 as I joined the US Army to help defend this great nation against all enemies both foreign and domestic. This oath that we swore does not have an expiration date included within it. It is perpetual.
Our founding fathers would have agreed that as government expanses, becomes more corrupt and fails in it’s obligation to the people then it is up to the patriots to re-set the foundations of this nation back to it’s original intent.
John Stuart Mill say’s it best:
“War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.”

Welcome to OK. We must recruit more Oath Keepers and have them do the same. We must find Oath Keepers that are willing to serve this country and take it back from the crazies in DC. Our work will be hard but if we all pull together then we can do it.

Well said young trooper, I was with the 82nd during Nam/Korea & the rest of the cold[?] war. Spent most of it on the eastern front watching what the ruskies were up to. All of us that served and took the ‘oath’ for better or worse applaude those of you taking it for what it means now, these are troubled days, the foe is not one we are familiar with, altho we have seen its relatives in the past, the Hitlers, Quadafis, Stalins, Castros, & others of their ilk are easily identified. The troublesome issues today are that the names that are betraying our country are not so easily identified, they are among the ACLU, the Liberal Left, the Progressives claiming to be doing what is ‘best’ for us, as if they knew.
Most are communists, many are acknowledged Socialists and there are many following these manifistos that do not know what they are.
So it is of some comfort to find that there are still those among the young that are capable of thinking for themselves, evaluating what is happening to this country and determining which is the correct path to follow.
GOD bless you, all of your comrades in arms, your family and all those dear to you.
