Band Together, Stay United

briancloseup The Founding Fathers wisely sought the divine inspiration of Almighty God when they brought into existence the Declaration of Independence, the United States Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. When we swore allegiance to the United States Constitution, we took an oath to protect and defend it against all enemies, both foreign and domestic.

In the 1940’s, when a powerful and mighty foreign enemy from outside our territorial borders (the combined Axis powers of Germany, Japan, and Italy) threatened our Nation’s people and its sovereignty, the great Sleeping Giant that is America, was awakened!

Now, in more recent times, a new and also powerful domestic enemy, this time from within our borders, threatens to destroy our Constitution and enslave its people once again. Thus, the Sleeping Giant has awakened, again!

In World War II, our strength as a Nation was in its manufacturing might and our ability to adapt that process quickly to changing needs and demands. Today, we are still that same Giant, but the tools we use are different. Our tools now are knowledge and information that is freely exchanged via the Internet.

People all over the country are now banning together in groups, with Tea Parties and Town Hall Meetings, and joining social interactive networks such as this one. This is how America is uniting once again to defeat a dangerous enemy who has crept in by stealth, and is now standing in a place where he ought not to be.

In the end, we will win. The enemy shall not prevail. These are difficult times right now. No one would doubt that. But in the end, we will defeat this enemy and return our Nation and its people to governance under the Constitution, not under a cult of personality led by a narcissistic dictator.

Band together. Stay united. The storm clouds will pass, and the sunshine will come to our Nation once again. Believe it in your heart, and it will become so. As God is my witness, it shall become so.

Brian thanks for your comments. You are right the sleeping giant has been awakened and the domestic enemies will not like what will happen unless they crawl back into their holes.

Thank you, Brian W for writing this. The daily attacks on our freedoms and lives is something we never thought we’d live to see. Conversations aren’t normal anymore with family and friends. It’s like everyone knows we are up against forces that are against our way of life. We need to stick together. There should be a way to communicate in other ways in case these web sites are shut down.

Founder Stewart Rhodes

He is a former firearms instructor and former member of Rep. Ron Paul’s DC staff.

Stewart currently writes the monthly Enemy at the Gates column for S.W.A.T. Magazine

Stewart graduated from Yale Law School in 2004, where his paper “Solving the Puzzle of Enemy Combatant Status” won Yale’s Miller prize for best paper on the Bill of Rights. He assisted teaching U.S. military history at Yale, was a Yale Research Scholar, and is writing a book on the dangers of applying the laws of war to the American people.
