With Oath Keepers, We Are Not Alone
I took my Oath in 1997, when I enlisted in the U.S. Army. I served for four years in the 3/67 Armor Battalion, 4th Inf. Div. at Ft. Hood, Texas. I always thought that the idea of having to possibly defend our Constitution from domestic enemies was very sobering. I hoped that I would never see the day that it would be a possibility, but now that day is here, or fast approaching.
When I took the Oath, I was 24. I was ready to give my life, if necessary, to preserve the liberties our Constitution affords us. Now, as a 36 year old father with a family of my own, working full time and going to college full time, I am also trying to be vigilant full time. My Oath still stands, though now it is less for myself and more for my children, my family and my fellow Americans. We here at Oath Keepers swore to do the hard things, to pay the most precious price, to ensure the well being of the rest of our country. Never has that Oath had more meaning in my life than at this time.
We may have some very hard choices to make in the near future, as did the forefathers of this country as they gathered, sometimes in secret, to determine their course of action against the tyrants of their time. The torch of duty and liberty has been passed many times throughout the years, and now it comes to us. We need to gather together, we like minded lovers of liberty, and determine OUR course. We need to use the methods available to make our voices heard before those methods are taken from us. With Oath Keepers, we can see we are not alone. But now we need to meet, face to face. To stand resolute with one another, shoulder to shoulder. And we need to ready ourselves for whatever is to come. And may we persevere in peace.

Clinton, 36 is so tender an age, and even more sobering when you have a family. But these HARD choices were made be others long before we walked this earth. One thing history tells us, once freedom is lost, it takes many generations for it to ever come around again.
This is the legacy of honor you pledge for yourself, your family, our unique nation, and a future yet unborn.
It takes a lot of soulsearching to pledge that, and to hold to it.
But we know, as true patriots always do. We know the possible cost, and are willing to pay the bill. We honor you for your commitment.

Thank you for your commitment, but please be aware that the Oathkeepers are absolutely NOT a militia. This Websit and this organization as a whole WILL NEVER BE USED AS A PLATFORM TO ANNOUNCE ANY SORT OF “CALL-TO-ARMS” AGAINST OUR GOVERNMENT. It is very important that you understand these things before you go posting all over this site. If you disagree, then DO NOT join.

Welcome, Clinton. We are not alone. We grow stronger every day. Our message and purpose is to reach those who have taken the Oath, and teach them their duty to refuse unlawful, unconstitutional orders. We are strictly passive.
I dare say that most of our membership has taken steps to account for the possibility of armed conflict, being experienced with the ways of the world, but that is not the mission of Oath Keepers.
We have to stay strictly focused on reaching, teaching and inspiring oath takers to become Oath Keepers. It is a legally and morally bulletproof tactic. If this succeeds, all our other individual preparations will be unecessary, not that we will stop preparing, of course.
